US lucks into a controversial women's short-track relay medal.

It makes sense to get everyone willing to schlep to BWI out of IAD/DCA/BWI, too. But it is very possible that someone loaded it into the system incorrectly and it is supposed to be a ferry flight. That happened to my father once. Not a pretty scene.

al-Udeid shows up in FlightMemory as IUD. Wonder when they changed the code.

al-Udeid, Qatar. Been there, done that. Great base. ^^^ If a commercial jet is going XJD-HHN-BWI, odds are it's part of a USAF rotation of active-duty people. Some of the guys have to fly home in the belly of the cargo jets so as to stay with equipment and mind the classified documents. Others get lucky.

there is a huge rotation right now, Dyess AFB is having airmen move in and out daily, each day is about 200 people...(from one base only)

I totally disagree with the call too!

To the nice helpfull folks that keep calling my cell phone in the middle of the night,
1.) Thanks for telling me that there are currently no problems with my credit cards.
2.) If you give an option of "pressing one to talk to an agent", it might be a good business plan to actually have someone answer the call.
3.) It's very generous of you to offer to help me reduce my credit card interest rate. I've paid exactly $2.37 in credit card interest in the past thirty years... I know that I'm probably not in your target demographic but, anytime I can save some money, I'm all ears.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Teh B-1's are shifting is Dyess is involved. If Dyess is leaving, that means the guys at Ellsworth/Mountain Home are coming home.

Dyess = Did You Expect Such Sh!t?

Dunno; Great Circle Mapper still has the IUD code, too. I wonder if the DoD somehow managed to convince CO (i.e. cash) to dedicate a 772 to the airlift efforts for a longer term. CO doesn't really have the 772 to spare, especially if the reports about the "hot spare" in IAH are true.

Mrs. photog72 is getting calls from Nigeria on her cell phone. Texts as well. I'm sure she's due some 15,000,000$US from some dead king.

You need a whole bunch of FAs who still have duty time left to carry revenue passengers. Plus there are other rules about operating the flight that are different. If the flight is all dead-heads then they don't have to pay the crew or to deal with all the other rules. It'll be interesting to find out if it really is a revenue flight.

I'd go back to Udeid tomorrow if I was still in uniform. I loved it there.

I didn't think there was a set-aside 772 spare either. I remember the Director of SOCC saying that all three hubs had one spare 737 and IAH/EWR had one spare widebody. I have suspected for quite some time that the EWR widebody spare is the 762 that always seems to be parked across from the P4 AirTrain stop...which gates that spot is near is escaping me right now.
