So sorry to hear that things are going so  for you guys!:( Hope the 'living in the hotel' bit is as short as possible. Will the developer cover that cost?!

Indeed. The last thing I want is Teh Governator knocking on my door.

Or you would be paid in "vouchers".

Anything in the contract that would suggest the seller pays for the delay (if they are the cause)?

Nope, by law they have 14 days from the "official" scheduled closing to deliver title. I could have held out for up to 14 days too. Hopefully it wont be that long b/c that will get real expensive real fast.

I think I'm going to fork over the $30 since I'm not a plat anywhere:o so I have to pay for internet and it'll pay for itself in "2 nights".

Oh, interesting. $30 per year or for life? It's $30 per MONTH to add tethering to my data plan on AT&T and I just can't bring myself to pay that, but it sure would be nice to have internet in hotels, etc (until I get SPG Plat...). I pay $9.99/month for unlimited Boingo, which takes care of me in airports. Some hotels use it, apparently, but nothing I've stayed in in a while.

My thoughts exactly.

Sure have been a lot of these dinky little 100 mile offers lately. I still do them for both of our accounts though. I'll take every mile they'll give me, even if these aren't worth much.

More is more, right? :)

Westin IAD $69 (Fri & Sat) incl breakfast for 2. Sun-Thurs are $99, which may be worth considering if you need to be in the area given the $100 Amazon GC Westin promo.

The DC area seems to be one of the best in the country for SPG mattress run rates. If nothing materializes for spring break week 1, I should just head down there for a couple of days midweek and knock out a few stays...

Yawn. I was spending too much time trying to catch up on the box doing since about 11 PM EST yesterday I had to give up. So I'll do a blanket ,, ^, :td:, :), :(, and good luck what ever has conspired since that time.

That's kind of how I feel about the last couple of days in here!

Yes. It's now near the top of my favorite burg(hs) in Europe list (with Prague, Salzburg, Strasbourg, and Edinburgh).

Fixed that for you. :)

I just had a great idea for a mini DO this weekend but then remembered no one is going to around in EWR land. It was the possible US v. Canuckistan gold medal medal hockey game.

Would SO be in for that, but have parents in town and a concert to attend that afternoon...

Again, so sorry to hear that it's going that way!:( I was not aware of such a law here in NJ & have been a homeowner here since 1989! I guess one becomes aware of it when it's invoked!

Price for the "pay for upgrade" for me (IAH-LGA), $120. Price for my wife's itinerary (same fare class), $630.

People who think that this is generating less upgrades because of non-elites taking the seats are out of their minds.

I had an option for 30K miles PLUS $300 for this weekend's trip to upgrade all four segments. Uh, let me think about that...........NO.
