wow I ordered some wine on Sunday, and it actually shipped on Monday, and almost here :D very nice. Problem now is, it comes in Friday the day I was planning on being gone! AHH!

BTW it wasn't too much apple hating, this was a product I wanted. With some enhancements, I may still want it.

Eventful day at work. I was not expecting to teach half of the workshop that I was attending. The person that was supposed to do it didn't show up. I looked at this horribly old and out of date presentation (converted to PowerPoint from slides) for three minutes, said I could do it and then went to talk for the next 2.5 hours. Saved a lot of peoples behinds as we would have had to send everyone home/back to work and bring them back at a future date to have finished it up. I'm really curious to read the reviews tomorrow about my impromptu presentation.

What saddened me the most about this was the fact that Apple is continuing its relationship with American Telephone & Telegraph. Yuck. It is way past time for this relationship to end.

I think you'll see that change either later this Spring or during the next iPhone refresh this summer. The release dates for the iPad are March for the WiFi version and April for the WiFi + 3G version. 3G technology in a device like this is nothing new, so there is no technical reason for the 1 month delay. I can't help but wonder if that extra month pushes them past the exclusivity agreement with AT&T (perhaps it was generic and covered all cellular devices) so they can offer a multi-band version that would work with all US providers.

In cases like that, you never know who may have seen, and how far it may take you. Sometimes when you know what you are doing and take a risk it can really pay off.

I just talked my way out of regular work at this client. I wasn't actually doing anything here but collecting a paycheck and I felt guilty about that. And I basically told them as much. Strange, huh?

We agreed that I'd continue working on the projects that I've been working on but that I no longer will sit in here and get paid not to work 4-8 hours per day. Last day is Friday.

I actually think this is a good thing, crazy as that sounds.
