I think it's a little more substantial than 5G, but not a huge change.

The fries are definitely better - they're cut smaller (think the cross-section of a McD's fry), so it's easier to get them to the right level of doneness. I've had a few batches of 5G fries that were underdone.

I just really dislike the five guys soggy sponge of a bun. I have never had one toasted or not that is any good.

I went in one here in CLT today ans asked if they have a the wheat bun there(some do), they said no, so I left.

I can't eat chicken from anywhere but Bush's now. That stuff is the crack of the poultry world.

I just stumbled across this gem in a FRA thread...

Just follow the signs. Don't think. Don't apply logic. Just follow the sign. You will get to your destination. You might have to go through security 2-3 times, customs, passport control, tunnels, escalators, elevators, stairs and you feel that you have just walked to your final destination.
But under no circumstances try to make sense of it. You will only get lost.
Good old FRA... :)

I apparently have become delinquent in my fire safety training. Watching a video presentation.

I had to do that once when I was in college because I had candles in my on-campus apartment. Not lit, mind you, just there for the smell (place was old and had dirt no amount of cleaning would remove). The director of residence halls which also oversaw the on-campus apartments got with the fire chief and they decided to go inspect every apartment. So even though they were not and were never lit, it was apparently a rule violation to even have candles or matches in an on-campus apartment. It was completely  and I 'd through the entire video presentation on how fast fire can spread.

I know how fast fire can spread. I am a man. I have set many fires. Burning things is a national man past time.

They have a Bush's in GRK a couple in fact. I am not a big fried chicken person anyway.

Trustguy Jan 14, 2010 2:30 pm

Stop, drop and roll. Who knew?

One of the locations in GRK is where my wife and I discovered them. We had see our local store here in town but had not visited. I was unfamiliar and did not know it was a regional chain. I don't do fried chicken very often and I generally despise chicken tenders most places, but Bush's chicken tenders are actual chicken breasts that are cut and breaded the same way the regular fried chicken is and it blows my face off every time I enjoy it (which isn't often). They also have sweet tea that will knock your hat in the creek, as well as fried okra.

Mmm, fried okra.

Not a place I'd want to visit alone. :p

That's insanely funny and sadly true.

The USAF fire safety videos were hilarious. The content could not have been geared toward inducing sleep any better than they were, and the same video is still in use from the late 1980's.

My hairline is receding unevenly due to an encounter with fire when I was about 15. Neighbors reported varying things to the police, including a "small explosion" and another thought that her truck had been hit and the offending driver left the scene.
