Also, for Photog72, I called Time Warner this morning and threatened to cancel. I dropped the home phone service that I hardly ever use and got the price dropped almost $50 a month, keeping my Internet access with the speed upgrade (15mbps/2mbps) and my cable with HD DVR. I also asked for the DVR fee to be waived and got Is Not Possible but managed to score three months of free DVR service instead. All in all, not bad.

I wonder if such tactics would work with Comcrap... I'm getting sick of seeing my bill.

I greased the skids by announcing that I was leaving for DirecTV/Dish Network, that usually gets them motivated. :-:

Excellent - don't you wish you did this earlier? A year from now you'll have to use the "drop television" threat ;)

A year? How about mid-July, when I am so starved for football I will watch Green Bay scrimmage against themselves. In reruns. :-:

I miss NFL Network. :(

Knowing CRM software I use my threats selectively. Just last week in my operations management course, I lectured about when companies simply decide to let customers go ;)

Viatalk

They just redid their plans so it's $99/year. My previous offer stands if you want a referral. ;D

What was the offer again? I'm interested in seeing about porting my current number over. Is it pre-paid or monthly?
