Tell me about it. Welcome to my world for the past two months

Silly aren't we. I just picked the same shift to work for the next few months. I atleast only work two days but it still takes me a full day off to get back on track.

And there is no way I would ever want to work a day shift--too much drama and prima donnas at work.

Need a hotel for the evening of the 8th and 10th in MSP. Want somewhere that is easy to get to from the airport and preferably an spg hotel or a marriott.

Any suggestions?

The Westin Minneapolis is right next to the Nicollet Mall light rail stop - about 20-25 minutes from the airport. $89/night seemed to be the norm for weekend (including Sunday night) rates. Additionally, there is the aloft Minneapolis (Downtown East / Metrodome stop) and W Minneapolis (Nicollet Mall stop) are also just a few blocks from light rail stops and are both decent properties.

I'm not familiar with the Marriott properties in the area, but I believe they have one close to the airport.

In GEG, I stayed at the HGI which is right next to the airport. They have a free airport shuttle that runs 24/7.

Evening Box.

Just finished watching Star Trek on Blue Ray. Great flick. So good, in fact, that we got each other the DVD for Christmas. :) Great minds, etc. One has already been returned to BestBuy, but the other one was greatly enjoyed tonight.

I saw this film on a CO flight not too long ago. When I first read about them making this movie I thought, no way could it be good. Boy was I surprised. I loved it. I'd like to see more of these made, with the same group of actors.

I think they have already contracted for another 2 movies with that cast (but don't quote me on that... I don't subscribe to TMZ or anything ;) )

^. I don't read the National Enquirer either, especially when someone leaves one behind after their flight. ;)

Wow FT got really bad there for a few minutes. I thought I might need to put on my trenchcoat, go to the park, and post...

Super, thanks sdm1130. I'll check out both the Westin Minneapolis and the HGI.

For a hotel search, use Bloomington, MN to find things near the MSP airport or Mall of America. Many of the hotels in the mall area have free shuttles to/from the airport.

I am getting an insane amount of traffic from Google regarding the full body scanner and the TSA.

Not that I'm complaining.

I was reading your Star DO report tonight... made me chuckle :)

I sent my passport in last week for renewal, and I feel completely lost without it... and I'm not even traveling. With any luck it will be back home in a week or two.

I know what you mean. When I sent mine in for renewal it was the longest three weeks ever! :-:
