Has there been a new policy for P-Club members visiting RCCs getting 2 free drink certs been discussed. I was just informed that they are doing this at LGA and am about to go find out (sitting in P-Club now).

Some lounges seem to be doing it, just like some lounges seem to be giving out the free wifi cards. There hasn't been an announcement from either carrier suggesting that either is actual policy.

Those of you without cars are lucky sometimes. I'm now stuck home for the weekend until I can take mine the shop on Monday. It appears one of the 02 sensors is going. Check engine light came on last evening and today when at a stop light it slowly started to idle rough and slow down and there was one hell of a hesitation when I pressed on the accelerator to get moving again. :( Now if I only had liquid nails to so I can repair the hole in the pink bathroom from hell, I could do something productive with my time.

It was a false alarm . We came over here after the PClub lady called and asked if we got free drinks and once we got here the dragon said NO. I made her call the PClub lady and confirm that she was told we would get free drink chits which was verified. The dragon gave us one each but wasnt too happy about it. You would think the earn commission on selling drinks or something.

Anyway, I guess Im well known here since I raised hell (emailed and called UA corporate) when they gave me wifi cards one day then refused to the next.

I've been up since 7am. This is something so wrong with having to set one's alarm clock on the weekend.

I had to set my alarm clock this morning because aunt and uncle are ordinarily at work by 0400 despite a 2 and 1.5 hr commute, respectively. Good luck at the game (by now it's "happy tailgating first").

To all our UA FT brethren both herein and elsewhere, I mean no disrespect, but on the UA Board, in our little Box, and elsewhere, I seem to read more bad reports about the UA RCC Folks than any other of the legacy lounge personnel. Indeed for the most part, the SC, AC, PC and even the USAir Lounge folks are generally spoke of with reverence. I really wonder what it is about the RCC Personnel that makes them so difficult to deal with? Seems like quite often they forget the "service" portion of "customer/client service".:rolleyes:

I really, really, really thought that the screening for Up In The Air was on Tuesday. My tickets are for Wednesday. I have to be in DC for work on Wednesday.

It is all that much worse that my court date for the BA thing is Thursday morning meaning that I'll work until ~1am and then need to be on a 6:30am flight and straight to the courthouse.

Next week is going to suck. :td:

Um - who originally put the BK stop in the itinerary?

I was just commenting that it's odd for a driver to lay down the law if the driver was responsible for the deviation in program to begin.

sbm12 Nov 28, 2009 1:49 pm

Apparently it is somewhat normal for the stop to happen. The driver mentioned that the next bus would be along in an hour. So it is on the schedule but not advertised.

The traffic has been downright miserable today. We're scheduled to arrive at 16:45 (one hour from now) and we're still north of Stamford. It isn't looking good.

As for next week, it won't really suck. I'll get paid extra for the overtime work, get to travel on someone else's dime and get to finally upgrade some of the components in the network that have needed them for a while. But the coordination of the timing really stinks for me. Mostly my fault as I agreed to the schedule but I am annoyed at myself for making so many mistakes in one week.

Thanks. Watching sunset over the NYC skyline from the Triborough bridge into Queens right now. No, I have no idea why we're going into Queens since the ultimate destination is NY Penn. But the sunset was pretty damn beautiful. Had we arrived an hour earlier like originally scheduled I would have missed that, so I guess that's a small reason to be happy for the delay. But we're now headed onto the BQE so odds of further delays seem rather high. :(

Those 6pm dinner reservations are looking quite questionable now.
