I also like that J service on LH and agree that FRA is a "disorganized dump." But the First Class Terminal. Ahhhhh, that FCT. Right up there with the best in the world. Next time get yourself a three, four, five hour layover and let yourself just wallow in it.

As far as MUC is concerned, I know that LH has stepped up the FC lounge there but the M&M guys do not put it in the class of the FCT. The main beef with MUC is the distance from the rental cars to the terminal but otherwise it is a very good place, much better than FRA. I will be there week after next but will not get over to the LH side. I will just be a C class peon on DL.

Fair enough. One option to get me to MLE when my TG flights were canceled was SQ in 1st from JFK - FRA then LH FRA - SIN (ironic), which would have given me access to the FCT on a decent layover.

But I was about 10,000 miles too short and I'm on a dump US mile plan, not get more. :(

See the aforementioned MR Deal thread. Come up to PHL, turn around, and do PHL-IAH-SMF/SJC. Back to IAH with an intra-TX may get it done if 10K is the number. ~5800EQM for the MR Deal routing, ~2600 for positioning, and a couple SAT quickies.

My fiance is headed home and her flight is expected in around 9:30pm. She's flying in on US (BOS-CLT-IAH). Think she'll be able to get in? And, yes, she's burning the award mileage left in her US DM account for an F ticket.

Here's the thread, baglady: I found an overnight turn into SMF...land 11-something PM, turn around and go on the IAH redeye.

I've done that turn with Matthewski earlier this year, it's not bad. You just walk off the plane and walk back on.
