Nah, surely you joke. :D

That's pretty much what he said. I love Channel 9. I felt so deprived Monday when the pilot on my IAD-DEN flight had it turned off.

It's going to feel like sh!t up there for about 5-10 minutes as you cross. Just grow a pair and hold on tight and deal with it. You're all big boys and girls. Once you cross over it's fine. It doesn't matter if you cross at 20 or 30 or 40. It sucks no matter what."

This was as we crossed the frontal boundary that's the result of much of the weather  going on across the nation. I got the pleasure of crossing it twice today — headed north in an EMB-170 on MSY-ORD and a few hours later headed south on an A-319 on ORD-ATL. I seriously sucked both times. I thought the little EMB-170 was going to roll over at one point as we descended through that mess. The ATC who said that seemed pretty hacked at all of the requests for changes in altitude to try and escape the severely bumpy ride.

oooo. that sounds kinda scary. Glad I wasn't on those flights.

At one point on the ORD-ATL flight it felt like we had crashed into a solid object in the air. It felt like driving a car into a curb at about 40 MPH and then bouncing over it.

Apparently a few air sickness bags were used in the back from what I heard a FA in the back tell the purser when she came up after we were through the mess. I went to sleep after that.

Oh, I forgot to tell my story about the rude DL/NW/Northwelta/whoever the hell they are captain.

The FO was the flying pilot on my ride home from MSP on Monday. After cruise was reached, he made an announcement that his in-laws were flying with us to attend their grandson's 18th birthday. Say what you will about announcements, it was funny and well-done, and I'm sure appreciated by the in-laws. I walked up to the Captain as we were deplaning and said to him: "The announcement to make was that my mother-in-law can't backseat drive when I'm up here". In return, all I get is: "That was his doing, not mine."

I guess I should have settled for an insincere buh-bye.

Dublin Dr. Pepper is the best. On the drive back to Victoria with ALCO in July we stopped for beverages in Goliad and I was thrilled to find Dublin Dr. Pepper in the convenience store we hit.

I had it in a Dr. Pepper float from the Dr. Pepper museum in Waco. Absolutely out of this world.

I am somewhat bothered by the fact that I have yet to receive the promised presentation information for my mock presentation next week. Given that the hiring manager is out of the office for the first three days of the week, I am worried about missing my opportunity to learn the material and prepare correctly.

Washer all hooked up and running now. ^

What a pita though. It took me about 3 hours to extend the waste line to reach the new washer and move the waste line for the utility sink because the washer is 1.5 inches too big to fit with the sink in there. Tomorrow I will be searching local hardware stores for a 20 inch utility sink

trying to set you up for failure, but don't let them do it, hammer it hard and impress with the improv presentation!

Were there any A-Bombs from A-Rod? What about "a back to back, and a belly to belly"? Did Mark Teixeira send any Tex Messages?
