No.

I read the OP three times and cannot understand his argument or his rationale. If the client wasn't worth keeping why make the trip at all? Further, how does an airline compensate for that?

you really must try the local cheese here, I think you aren't going to make it to the Palm DO :( I was planning to take some there.

I missed my little one's 4th birthday because i was with a client in CA. I was sad! I called her and she was very excited about her gifts. One thing we had given her was a lego/knex type thing that you built and then marbles would run up and down it (powered by batteries). It was pretty cool.

Anyway, she was so excited, and I asked what the gift fairy had brought, and she said;

"Momma, Momma, I got, I got, I got, a ....a.....a....

contraption"

I howled with laughter. She had no idea what to call it (I can't even remembe what it was called now), so she just said a "contraption"

god bless her little soul, she's precious!

The bakery was amazing. I almost regretted my decision to order her regular cakes from Julie's Cakes (most amazing cakes in Houston!). The cakes were gorgeous and the nanny got chocolate covered strawberries that she gave a ^.

The store also has a furniture area (Ashley and something else) and jewelry store within the store. Today was opening day so they were staffed to the hilt but service was fabulous. I didn't hit anyone with my handydandy cart, but was very tempted to run people over. I truly hate the carts; I feel double my age (maybe because everyone else using them were twice my age)

Well said. ^

Who knows? Asia is off, so not sure what we're doing that weekend. Plus1? Plus1? What are our plans (since the box is where we discuss travel ;) ) I heart cheese!

So many inappropriate jokes, so little time. Suffice it all to just say thanks. :)

And, I've had fun in the PWP 2.0 thread, too. I hope the "right" person wins - and by that I mean anyone who posted. Everyone deserves a fair chance, and I will be happy for whoever ends up winning. Hope it's a Boxer though!

Glad to be back.

Status doesnt mean much to me, but the thread was getting boring with no conversation anymore.

I need to go somewhere.

I'm sure you did!

We used to go Krogering in college post party time. I'm quite certain all the employees hated us! :o

This sounds lilke a great store.

We have the WORST grocery stores here in NJ. Truly! They are a disgrace compared with the stores I see in Texas.

Sounds like we might have to have a "Let's vist BagHQ DO" to visit the Kroger!

That's as good a reason as any other of the crappy ones he has proffered. I personally like my rationale quite a lot, but self-important denial of reality I guess works for some.

I get the vibe that the guy is his own shop. Anyone who had a boss or a travel budget to answer to that hangs out on FT would be a lot more concerned.
