This sounds lilke a great store.

We have the WORST grocery stores here in NJ. Truly! They are a disgrace compared with the stores I see in Texas.

Anything beats the Key Food and Trade Fair I have near my house in Astoria. I refuse to get anything perishable in Trade Fair because it is the most disgusting store I have ever been. Key Food is a little better but still probably worse than any store in North Houston where I grew up.

At least in the USAF, a time check was accomplished by asking for a "time hack".

Isn't there a thread for that?

Yeah, but I'm not on a plane. Figured I'd share with The Box instead.

Sounds like we might have to have a "Let's vist BagHQ DO" to visit the Kroger!

I'd be up for that event! I'll be the hostess with the mostess. I'll even try and outsource BL JR ;)

Of course, first I'll let her sing the "Goodnight, farewell" song from the Sound of Music before she says "Auf Wiedersehen"

you really must try the local cheese here, I think you aren't going to make it to the Palm DO :( I was planning to take some there.

Those cheeses you brought to Corpus Christi were awesome.

The store also has a furniture area (Ashley and something else) and jewelry store within the store. Today was opening day so they were staffed to the hilt but service was fabulous. I didn't hit anyone with my handydandy cart, but was very tempted to run people over. I truly hate the carts; I feel double my age (maybe because everyone else using them were twice my age)

Wow, sounds nice. Hopefully they'll keep it that way. Unfortunately my experience in the past with Kroger has been stellar grand opening followed by continued decline starting as soon as the opening management team from corporate is no longer in the picture. But maybe this one will be different. Where is this nice store located?

And I know how you feel about the carts. I had to use one once after breaking a bone in my foot and walking in the store was just too painful. I hated it.
