The college I attended has a January term, where students take one class, usually just for the fun of it, and usually something totally outside their major. Many of these classes often include international travel/study, and the college has a study abroad requirement now as part of its degree plans. Well, it appears they're opening up select courses to alumni, and I just got the e-mail. Two weeks learning French in France? Studying apartheid and racism in South Africa? Three weeks studying modern Germany, based out of Berlin? Several weeks in Japan? Hmmm, this is so tempting me right now, and prices are pretty reasonable, considering it includes airfare, hotel, most meals, and much of the ground transportation.
