You know you're a concierge at a good property when the Front Office Manager walks up and says "The spa manager heard there were two new guys (previous staff was 4 female, 1 male compared to 2 and 3 respective now) on the desk, and she wants to give you two some services so you have the experience to talk about to your guests." Like I'm gonna argue.

That's very smart too. You can actually speak of the service. There is nothing worse than asking a question and seeing a look of cluelessness on the person's face. You know - like asking a waiter about a dish and they say, I have no idea, haven't tried it or similar. At least it's something you can enjoy!

CM, did you pick up a copy of Golf Punk yet? The new issue arrived today? Mr BL did flash me a pic of Mr Faldo, who is my golf crush and I have to say is aging very well.

In this isn't really news, news:

My COex flight is delayed.
EWR terminal A is annoying.
And the earth is still spinning on its axis.

I did however just spot a Mexi-mullet! Rare in these parts.

True true. I'm just shocked because this would never happen at any other area property. The employee treatment is miles ahead of the rest of the city.

No, but it's on my day off to-do list to find it. Even though I've only been doing 9-5's, I'm finding that a slightly longer drive and having to stand behind this desk as opposed to sitting at the old place is pooping me out. Faldo used to have an academy outpost here, at Seaview Marriott, former home of an LPGA event. GREAT course. Now the teaching side is branded John Jacobs.

Hey! Come play down this way - I'm sure The Box can come up with a neutral-distance NJ foursome somewhere.

I was playing in a golf outing in Hackettstown NJ.
We shot - 3 in a scramble format , - 8 won the outing :(

We need to set this up , there are some great courses down by you.

Do you really think that people have any sort of integrity on scramble scorecards? :D It's insane how a net bogey becomes a birdie by the time the foursome reaches the carts.

We can do Box Golf no problem, but my issue is that I'm usually a weekday-off guy. I can even lower the cost, because I think I have a comp weekday afternoon twosome somewhere in my favors file. Four guys could always chip in (no pun) to lessen the charge on the two revenue players.

We were talking about that yesterday while we played , I think there are some groups that do play fair, and others that cheat.
We tried to just play our game, have a good time and not worry about our other's scores. Our score was honest , except with the ocassional move the ball a bit, but it was best ball , so you are allowed to drop.

My schedule is flexible , so i can golf during the week as long as im not going somewhere for work .

I'm off Wed-Thu...do you have a preference for a course down here?

ETA: I also have coupons from the local golf assoc. in my car...will check those when I leave work.

I didn't know I had any kids! Now I'm doubly worried.

I'm up for NJ golfing, too. I can go mid-week as long as I have some advance notice to not book anything else that day. Oh, and I'm not very good.

Keep me in the loop about NJ golf as well. It's tough for me to get away from work midweek, but depending on my schedule, I might be able to squeeze it in.

Bored, flipping through the channels this morning here in Houston. Stumbled upon Houston Airports System own newscast. I guess they buy time to air their "news." Saw it on channel 55 at 9am-9:30. I know this is going to sound bad, but more than a couple of their "reporters" sound like they arrived in this country in the last couple of years. Although, the production value looked good, the voice-overs from those same "reporters" sounded like propaganda spoken by a recent high school grad who just came to this country. The show seemed out of date as they were previewing RodeoHouston.

Yes. Slow roasting in my fiance's belly.

I'm not spectacular - my handicap card says 29, I think. I can get around in 100-115...and I'm horrid off the tee.

You're welcome to join rolov and I, assuming he's in for either day. Either works for me. If either or both of you want to, we can do dinner after and I can find someplace should anyone's hotel statuses need topping off. Come ot think of it, Thursday works better for me because I don't have to be in until 12:30 Friday. For the higher handicapper like S and me, I would use my concierge's magical powers to recommend Blue Heron Pines. Any NY/NJ Box Denizens wanna be the 4th?

Bonus ETA: Blue Heron is under the primary ACY approach. A319's and F-16's for most of the day.
