Yuck. I slept w/ my windows open in Philly last night, it was nice out. Thank goodness for A/C all over Houston.

Sounds like you could use a daiquiri to cool off. :D

Sorry - too much multitasking going on here. I have no idea where I got July 7 and 8 from.

You're not the only one. I was under the impression that only that state that lies between the Sabine and Mississippi Rivers engaged in this kind of commerce.

I hope not. Miller is terrible.

However, "It's St. Bernardus Time" just doesn't roll off the tongue as well.

It's about time we co-opted the only good idea to ever come out of that state.

The humidity is one thing I'm not missing about Houston. I just ran a bunch of errands, walked quite a bit of it, and never broke a sweat. In Houston just stepping outside and locking the front door will have you drenched this time of year.

And Wednesday night when we actually ate dinner outside and walked around and it was pleasant? Never have done that in Houston in summer before, without feeling fairly icky.

On the other hand, I'm discovering a number of things I do miss about living in the Bayou City.

No wonder I'd never heard of them. The only two in the Houston area are way out in the 'burbs.

Too bad there's not one in Lubbock. That could make my frequent work trips there a lot more interesting.

I think I get a touch of "the vapors" each time I spot a new one.
