Has anyone in the box jumped on the VA Australia fare?

All of my friends are officially lame and won't go. Grrrr.

It's a nice fare but I'm still on the fence...

Wrong cabin and not enough miles in a program I care about for a flight that long. I'll get over to OZ eventually... hopefully on NZ, SQ or TG up front once CO miles can be redeemed on *A.

The post that previously appeared in this space has been deleted. I would provide you with a reason why, but doing so would likely be against the TOS.

You should head over to ACY and drop some money on the tables.

Yeah, the fare is definitely grabbing me. But, the thought of breaking the "no crossing oceas in the back" rule has been holding me back. And since I was an idiot and missed out on the UA AKL fare...

I am dead tired and need alcohol. Serious amounts of alcohol.

The AA fare EWR-bze is really appealing to me and I got it priced out at under $190 w/ 7 segments.

Edit: BZE NOT EZE

Just filled out my absentee ballot request. Let's see if NYS is better about fulfilling these than SC was.

In other news, the decent hotels we have corporate rates with are all sold-out in Germany when I have to be over there. That leaves me with only one option, the hotel OIA contracts with. We've affectionately dubbed it the "no tell hotel."

I was staring so long at a $190 fare to EZE that I now have two questions instead of one:

1. What's the path on the seven segments?
2. If your EUA count is 35/43 and you had 8 ineligible flights, wouldn't the EUA hit percentage really be 100%?

Answer's:

1. I didnt take it but i think it was EWR-ORD-XNA-DFW-BZE then BZE-DFW-ORD-EWR. Dont remember exact dates but just played around and got it again for a 5 night stay 5/20-5/25 including an overnight in DFW on one leg.

2. I have 43 flights this year where the airplane actually had b/first class seats. I was upgraded on 35 of them. The 8 ineligible flights were on ERJ/RJ/SAAB's where there is no b/first class cabin. The precentage is based on eligible flights only. I also had 4 flights on AA and 2 on Spririt which are not included.

Ahh. Assumed an all-CO listing. EZE or BZE?
