If you're around at all and looking for a beer (or any other drink) over the next 10 days or so let me know. It doesn't need to be an official mini-do to get together.

Good morning box, ordered 6 more CR1ers, and can someone post a link to the podcast?
I have Airbus's on order along with a stash of Avro's. Hopefully Mr Airbus is more profitable than the MD. |

Florida lets you do them online..
mwg25 in my experience, appeal the ticket and do what CM suggested, particularly if the ticket was issued by a local municipality. All they really care about is getting money and giving you points doesn't get them anything. |

Morning Box,
We had a freaking awesome set of thunderstorms roll through DFW last night - high winds, hail, torrential rain. I guess that's what they mean by a Texas thunderstorm. Awesome view out of my hotel room. Other than that, nothing fun to report. |
back to the traffic school thing, in NJ you can do the AAA course online if you wanted to take points away, but the best thing to do is go to court and get the points reduced there, then if you still have points left over you can go the school route.

I had to do one traffic school for a bogus ticket. The oficer clocked the car that was passing me but stopped me for his speed, I was going 5MPH over speed limit but being passed by someone else doing 15MPH over. I did the online course and it was easy enough and cheap.
I got another ticket by Tx DPS officers for going 70 in a 55mph zone that had been set the day before, on thanksgiving day(I got the ticket)! I was at my grandparents and there was no sign from the road there to he point I was stopped. I had every day already booked with travel and a move before the date to appear in court so I had to plea guilty and wrote a long letter. the judge actually wrote me back thanking me for noticing no signs between these roads, and he took my ticket fees. He however did not report it as a ticket to the state and I am 5 year violation free with insurance due to that. At 25 yo that is a significant discount :D |
Forgot to mention too, mwg25: your driving history should speak for itself with the local prosecutor if he/she has any brains. If you've been cop-free for five years or more and the prosecutor doesn't give that some kind of respect, that's very  and not at all cool. And if they make you a no-point offer, take it regardless of the fine. Paying the fine before leaving the courthouse beats the hell out of getting that insurance notification in the mail and paying more for two or three years.

I never did defensive driving in Texas where I got a meal. I actually only did it in person once; and then online a couple of times. It was always ridiculously easy but took way too long. The one time I did it in person the instructor had other plans for the second evening of the class, so we got out that night about two hours early.

I feel my fist of rage coming on. I think it's time to look for a new job.
I love Project Managers who decide to schedule a meeting and let you know 20 minutes before not giving any consideration to your time. |

Funny, even though I'm not doing well compared to others in AM2 I find myself checking it out first before going to FT. |
