That sounds eerily familiar. The podcast was good, though. So there's a win for you. ^

Great podcast.

The gf is flying to MCO today and she is 320 mile short of silver. If they DEQMS did not take a week she would have it already. Also , I did not realize the 500 Min EQMs was for elites only. I got 500, she only
got 253 .

Just finished the Podcast, fozz. Great job! Really enjoyed hearing Scott's answers and comments on several of those items, including Starnet blocking.

Me too. It's sad that he can't comment further until the lawyers let him.

I just got my conference call canceled on 24 minutes' notice.

Skybus Is Reborn!

The dude who started Skybus is starting another airline with wet-leased 738s from Miami Air. This one is JetAmerica and is based in scenic TOL with service to Newark, Minneapolis, Lansing, South Bend and Melbourne and is financed using federal grants from Toledo, Lansing, South Bend and Melbourne. The article in the local rag properly noted it as a virtual airline, which seems to be a much better method to start service rather than incur debt from new aircraft.

www.jetamerica.com seems to have crashed, so g:rolleyes::rolleyes: luck with getting tickets.

What's that quote about insanity? Repeating the same process and expecting different results?

I was sitting in the Pclub and had to change my flight to make it. Now I get in four hours later even though I'm only leaving an hour later.

I would have been quite livid if they cancelled it after i changed my flight, but they didn't.

What an idiot! First he couldn't make it work at CMH, an airport, that, you know, a decent number of people already fly to, so he's going for TOL, and airport that's been dying a slow death for decades, and is down to just two scheduled airlines (three if can really count Allegiant), flying to a couple of cities? There's a good reason that DL dropped its ATL-TOL service, CO dropped CLE-TOL, AA dropped DFW-TOL. And now he thinks he's going to actually make money flying a rather large plane to an airport that nobody want to fly to/from? Sounds like this dude just loves throwing cash away and spending time in bankruptcy court.

Skybus was a disaster in concept and execution. I predict no less from this latest venture. Oh, lookie here, $9 + $5 convenience fee. AirTicketMaster!

Now I need to figure out a way to distract TheCanuck.

RE: Traffic tickets in NJ, you definitely want to go to court. The prosecutor will always negotiate down whatever you are charged with. Look up the number of points for each violation and see what you're willing to negotiate. Beware, though, that sometimes they will offer things that have a fine and no points and sound lesser than the original charge. Some of these "reduced" things have no points attached, but involve insurance surcharges or can get REALLY nasty if you get another one a few years down the line. One to watch for is careless driving. I'm sure there are others.

The cancellation email was sent in error and I'm on my call now...but I committed to my Rotary lunch upon seeing the cancellation.
