Me too. I havent gotten the LGA-IAH upgrade yet for Sat night but I am actually thinking about getting on your flight via $25 so I can spend the day with my parents (ie. free papasitos).

It's booked 5/20 now and one in the exit rows (the s/o). You should have a very good chance at the upgrade.

I'm 2/2 on upgrades for my last minute EWR-LAX run that only cost me $220. ^ to transcon breakfast and lunch!

Now I just need to decide if I'm going to go or just cancel the ticket...

$220, Transcon to LA, Upgrade..... GO! ;)

Is it by chance a 752?

Boy, it really sucks when you're on the wrong end of that overcharging, doesn't it? Bad business practice comes full circle. :D

I really didn't intend to screw you, you just kind of got in the way.

Just booked my first SPG hotel. The Aloft in Irving, their 50% off the next day sale. $120.00 for 2 nights. Cheaper than the 4 star on hotwire.

It's really not a big deal. The large cities have enough traffic and routes to support more than one hub airline. And you can always set up a hub at CDG, which can be very profitable even with 2 airlines there.

Watch it, pal!

In my experience, the larger aircraft are good for one thing and one thing only -- range. Beyond that they are generally not worth the extra money that they cost to acquire because they do not bring in appreciably more money per route (regardless of length). I think this is one of the key failings of the entire game.

Nice!! IAH-LGA went out last Saturday (that 6:something pm flight, right? 732 I think) with 5 empty F seats, so hopefully that's a good sign for you.

What route are you flying? I was thisclose to getting a bump in SJC last weekend...

LGA-IAH-ONT-IAH-LGA. All segments cleared into F now ^. Just waiting for the S/O's Silver 1-day EUA now for Friday morning. SNA was slightly cheaper, but I figured ONT has more of a chance for EUA's clearing.

you are right, it is a big failing, one I did not know yet as my third world airline is so slow making money I am just now buying jets :D

I'm going ZFV-EWR-SAN-EWR-ZFV for under $200 on 6/6 - 6/9 (red eye coming home) on 738's both ways. I'm pretty sure I'll be up front but I'm not sure about the companion upgrade for Ms. GadFly. She actually likes the window in Y exit row better than an aisle anywhere else (even F). All I have to do is make sure if I get my EUA that it's an aisle and she won't want to trade ^

Yeah, I think I'm going... :) Only 5 more minutes to decide.

Unfortunately, the 752 segments that looked to have any possibility of an upgrade would have required an overnight.

My third world airline is based at FNJ -- I've built up to 13 million in cash so far!

;) I am doing better on it proportionally than in the AMv2 world. ABI was a sucky choice, I should have picked something a LITTLE bigger in africa or something... but it says something that I am doing as well as I am out of ABI. I have some gulfstream fleet now, 37 passenger Gulfstream I-C just like real third world airlines using cast offs :D

Im not too worried after looking at the seat map and seeing so many blue open seats. I will be showing up at the airport and doing it there.
