I'm 2/2 on upgrades for my last minute EWR-LAX run that only cost me $220. ^ to transcon breakfast and lunch!
Now I just need to decide if I'm going to go or just cancel the ticket... Is it by chance a 752? |

Boy, it really sucks when you're on the wrong end of that overcharging, doesn't it? Bad business practice comes full circle. :D
Just booked my first SPG hotel. The Aloft in Irving, their 50% off the next day sale. $120.00 for 2 nights. Cheaper than the 4 star on hotwire. |

It's really not a big deal. The large cities have enough traffic and routes to support more than one hub airline. And you can always set up a hub at CDG, which can be very profitable even with 2 airlines there.

Nice!! IAH-LGA went out last Saturday (that 6:something pm flight, right? 732 I think) with 5 empty F seats, so hopefully that's a good sign for you.
What route are you flying? I was thisclose to getting a bump in SJC last weekend... |

In my experience, the larger aircraft are good for one thing and one thing only -- range. Beyond that they are generally not worth the extra money that they cost to acquire because they do not bring in appreciably more money per route (regardless of length). I think this is one of the key failings of the entire game.

Is it by chance a 752? Unfortunately, the 752 segments that looked to have any possibility of an upgrade would have required an overnight. |

you are right, it is a big failing, one I did not know yet as my third world airline is so slow making money I am just now buying jets :D

It's booked 5/20 now and one in the exit rows (the s/o). You should have a very good chance at the upgrade.
