I was unable to get benefits from the Star Luftwaffe network, yet others got tons of benefit out of it for themselves at my expense. That would be why I'm going to start a restricted alliance in v2.0. DelNorTalia is not a rival of Hartmann Air, nor of Global 7 or Animaniac Airways. Global 7 got a sweet lease deal from me six times over, in fact.

I clearly need to keep up on my AM.

So, when one leaves an alliance, what happens to all the partners that had flights out of the the departing-partners hub?

The routes that are originating in the former partner hub cannot be edited. They are kept as is or killed. When I left the Luftwaffe, much as I didn't want to, I killed SEA-LHR. Talk about cash cow.

I would go for it. YVR is an amazing city and it would definitely be an experience.

I was there once for 3 days and really really want to go back. Great city.

Q: "What's worse than US?"
A: "An airline within US."

YVR is, hands down, one of the nicest cities in North America. I would gladly spend a year there.

As I see it, OH, it's only a year. Go for it.
A few years ago I applied and interviewed for a job near AUS without telling the significant Canuck. I mentioned the possibility when it looked like I was a finalist for the job. She freaked the  out. Of course, about 5 minutes after I dropped that bomb I received an email saying they were going with the other candidate.

It took me about a year to dig-up from that disaster.

I'm starting to see positive economic news when I go to Comcast's start page. I wonder if it's for real or if the media are Obama fanboys. Wait, that example doesn't work.

^ Good to hear you'll be doing some travel finally for work.

I am occasionally in the DFW area to visit friends from when I lived there.

Cool. It looks like it could be up to 12 weeks worth of trips... conveniently scheduled during the hot season. Heh. :)

its an artificial bubble, we are making the same mistakes that got us here all over again, it will be fine for 4-6 years maybe then all collapse worse.

If I am reading this right, a 772ER can do IAH-AKL non-stop weight restricted and the 772LR without weight restrictions.

Meh. We're making some of the same mistakes. We're also inventing new ones.

But, yes, economic data seems to point towards a positive trend (in the near term).

yes I agree, and I am not even speaking on political level, I think both parties would be doing the same mistakes.

Even if you're right, it truthfully doesn't mean much. Larry is well-known to dislike subfleets. Buying LR's just for AKL or CHC, or buying LR's at all, isn't the CO style.

Starting with our accounting rules - corporations have the ability to distress their own debt, buy it back (at the reduced price), retire the liability, and mark operating income from the transaction.

In other news, I was trying to read through the "Skeeter bite" thread over at UA:rolleyes:
Started getting all itchy 'n scratchy before the second page and had to bail. Now I have this strange urge to watch the Simpsons...
CM, I noticed you posted last over there. What's the outlook for the original poster? Is he getting miles or a de-lousing?
