That's really sad. Maybe one upside to the DL buyout is that NW will be absorbed...into the late 20th century.

Yes, but in some areas, like technology, NW is light years beyond DL. NW also generally had better service in domestic F than DL (but DL was better in domestic Y).

I still like the DC-9s. Sure they're relics, but they're fun to fly. And if you're in F, they're not that uncomfortable.

:rolleyes:v, I took the EXP dog pic and used it to come up with a reason for bugs on the UA flight.

Yep! Especially when you can get a -30 that was built pre-1970. Unfortunately those are pretty much gone from the fleet at this point. In fact, there are a LOT fewer DC-9s at DTW and MSP these days, based on what I saw at those two hubs over the last week. Most of what's left are the -50s, which are newer and quieter, although still quite old and loud by modern standards.

Yeah, I think they were dumping them much faster than AA was getting rid of the Mad Dogs.

So that's why you bought a 744?

What do you guys/gals think of the DSLR camera packages on ebay. I am looking for a (starter) kit and dont want to spend more than ~$600 for a D-60 and 18-55 lense. I would like to get this before the AMS/TXL trip next Friday so I probably need to order by tomorrow if I do it.
