I've never ever had an issue with this, I have FSO and ezfuel disabled in my profile, and they only charge it if you drive less than 75 miles anyway, so key is DRIVE more than 75 miles :D

Yeah, I've never had a problem having it removed upon car return. All I do is show the receipt from the fill up.
But I don't know, I fly to FLL ad have a 25 mile drive to my location of business, so i have 50 miles before any driving of any other sort, and don't have to deal with this hassle. |

You mean there's something worse than the Impala?

A few years ago in PBI with friends we rented a standard (cheapest) for 4 adults and all they had were vans and Buicks. I took the Buick. I was driving this huge boat around So Fla for a week. We looked like we should be eating dinner at 4:30 and stealing sugar packets.

In addition, the cars are getting older and older and it is no longer unusual to get one with more than 30,000 on the clock. After driving some of them out of the lot you can develop a severe distrust of their capabilities but most of the time the company will have nothing else to offer you.
Since then I've made it a habit to do a walk around on every rental including checking for the spare, a jack and a quick look underneath to see if the car is puking fluids. So far we have found: One missing jack One more missing spare Three tires on their way to flatness One car that probably wouldn't have gone far with most of it's coolant on the ground. |
Just a quick moment of celebration - they formally accepted me into a grad program, suckers!
I've been undergoing an excessively drawn out fiasco between two schools which are less then an hour apart in southern Cali. First one offers the world, then the second makes a lesser offer, i pick the first, the first drops a bomb that their funding is cut and my position eliminated, i panic call the second who is now making a lesser offer - but they are trying to get a nice grant released for my work (still being worked on), first calls back and says "so sorry for the back and forth, your position is open again" and so I've just said "screw it" and have told both I have full intent of attending if they get the funds together. As mentioned above, the first formal acceptance arrived. So i'm going somewhere no matter what. I think i'll decide which school sometime in August just before I need to register for any classes and choose an apartment. |

As for Rosetta Stone or EQM's - I suppose I can do both, but I've got some sort of ingrained mental block that wont let me spend more then a certain amount of money on frivolous things in a certain time period.
