Attempt #2 to fly JFK-SFO-ONT has failed. Another mechanical so I'm trying again tomorrow.

Joy. The IFL agent questioned how I booked my ticket because the itinerary was weird. She shut right up when I told her it was on the UA website.

Yeah, it was classic. She started getting snippy since it was the same agent that helped me last week. As soon as she said that, she accepted it and went back to her pleasant self.

I'm pretty sure I just committed DUI for the 3rd time in my life. :(

It is the second time I've done so on a bike.

This time it was a moped.

BDA is pretty awesome as a destination. Apparently there is a severe shortage of appropriate underwear here, particularly in the bra category. :D

And what does shopping have to do with climate? Everybody knows that to go anywhere in South Florida you will need to get into your car so an extra few minute's driving to get to the strip center or mall is inconsequential.

umm, there are parts of north miami on the ocean :) I was between the barrier islands.

What I mean is I can live ina rural area and find better quality shopping in the same amount of time as being in the city where its only a few miles.

I like rural life much better, it is for me, lots o' land!

Haha. Not for me. I couldn't care less about land. The less property I have to keep up, the better. I'm quite happy with a front porch that has to be swept off as the only responsibility I have for keeping out the exterior of my home.

And the key to city life is being in the middle of everything, close to everything you want to do. I grew up in a rural area of Texas and don't miss it at all. It's nice to go back to visit my family there, for about 24 hours. After that I'm bored to death and frustrated. And after over 8 years of living in Houston, there are times that even Atlanta feels too small.

I motion that comments such as these replace poop as a daily quota all box participants must attempt to reach.

Except when you stay in the micro-climate that exists at and right close to the beach. There you will find a constant cooling breeze off the ocean during the day that makes Florida weather a completely different experience than if you are even a few miles inland.

^ When I was a kid my Grandparents lived on the intracoastal and living there is night and day compared to living on the other side of town away from the water. My Mom and Uncle own the place now and I visit it in the middle of July and it's better than NJ. :D:rolleyes:^

I understand, but not for me, I like being able to go outside and sit under a tree and watch the wildlife. I am good visiting a city for a week or so but after that ready to go back to rural area with less traffic, no police, etc.
That was one of my single biggest problems in Miami, police were crawling everywhere and it was not even safe!
