M:rolleyes:re rain coming your way, EWRland. We got a healthy dose again yesterday afternoon, though today is nice and bright. Hey, at least the grass and flowers like it!

I think we were discussing this here but dont recalll if here or one of the great new threads out there.

I have a trip this weekend TUL-IAH-TUL. The return was upgraded yesterday and the outbound this morning. So the system is working in interesting ways. Of note is also that yesterday morning they wont letting people use miles to upgrade anymore and last night they were. Very interesting.

Morning Box.

Sorry to hear your trip got messed up, jrzyshawn. That's never a good thing.

We head to LHR tonight on the direct flight from CLE. Flight has plenty of open seats, so we should be able to spread out :) No op-up, but that's ok - at least we won't be packed in the 752.

If April showers bring May flowers, what the heck do May showers bring?

Clean pilgrims.

I wonder if they're trying to fix the check-in bug where lower level elites are upgraded before they should be.

Scott mentioned that trying to fix it would break EUA.

One of my London flights last year was so empty that I had a row to myself and got great sleep. Ask for a seatbelt extender to make life easier as well.

Lacking the actual experience necessary I think I'll have to pass. Plus, it was pretty but I don't think I'd want to live there. It makes cost of living in NYC look reasonable. And getting anything done is a slow and laborious process. I almost killed a vendor. He got mad at me for yelling at him and I didn't have the energy to explain that I he's never seen me upset before. I had at least three more levels of angry to go through on him.

Only if you count sitting on the couch working. I really only work half-time so I do cook dinner and shop and run all the other errands. Otherwise I'd be too bored.

Got a call from a headhunter about a full time job. I might actually entertain the prospect and go on the interview; there should be some travel involved at least.

I thought that NJT monthly holders got the AirTrain access for free. Or did that benefit expire?

I didn't think any airline gave you BP's for an intl. OLCI - don't they just record you as checked in and then make you show your passport at the airport?

Most airlines let you do it, destination dependent.

G'morning all. Just another  day here in NYC.

I made out like a bandit when I traveled for a living - airline miles, hotel points, Membership Rewards points, free food, free toiletries, not paying everyday expenses at home ...

I'm not sure we are going to do any touristy things this time - as our intent is to be in pubs the entire weekend. ;)

I see baglady's Jong Il is off his meds again. I told him not to spend the healthcare stipend that the motherland generously bestowed upon him on scotch and Bentleys.

I did too...paid for my honeymoon in style with the points and the leftover cash from the per diems that I didn't spend. It was nice. I wouldn't be able to avoid the home expenses this time around since I have a real home and a wife and all, but the other benefits are nice. I don't think it wou;d be that much travel - more like an occasional thing - but at least it wouldn't be a drone in an office, or so I hope. I'm going to take the interview and feel it out. I'm still not 100% convinced that it is right for me but if there is potential up-side then I might give it a go anyways. I will need to make sure that there is sufficient vacation time included.
