HD-DVD - BluRay
I don't know if anybody here bet on HD-DVD like I did, but Warner Bros is offering to let you have BluRay copies of your HD-DVDs for $4.95 - and you get to keep your HD-DVD discs.
Red2Blu Shipping is $6.95 no matter how many discs you replace (up to 25) and single DVDs are $4.95. Box sets range from $9.95 to $14.95. Almost all of the movies that Warner issued in both formats are eligible with the exception of Planet Earth, which they say will be added soon. For what it's worth. |

Would it be wrong to start a Talkboard thread that people need to pass an aptitude test before being allowed access? :D

Taunting about receiving the EUA isn't cool, although I'm not sure how much one could complain with a seat in an exit row and a fistful of drink chits.

There's an unfortunate lack of long-haul Soviet and Chinese aircraft to choose from. Shanghai Y-10 can squeeze out a decent amount of range, as can the Il-62MK (lousy economics), but there's nothing there with TPAC range. Il-86 can handle a lot of Pax, but doesn't fly very far (roughly the same range as a Tu-154B).
For short-range, the Yak-42D is the best earner in my fleet. Just started up another one this morning. What about the offerings of the DPRK that those weak-kneeled so-called socialist swine at Airbus keep trying to steal? |

Don't the worker's paradise nations of Laos, Cuba or Vietnam manufacture high-tech long range aircraft that are the envy of the running dog Yankee imperialists?

I'd love some 777 action, personally. Much better economies than the 747.
