Absolutely agree. Make yourself indispensable. Go above and beyond. Even if it turns out to be a seasonal job, at least you will have left a good legacy, and the memories of you will only be positive. That way, in the future, should they be hiring, they will think of you first.
Congrats again. Though I don't really know you in person, yet, I DO know that you deserve the job! And, know that they have made the right choice!

You're working under the assumption that I'm happy with the mini-shop that you set up thus far, in addition to the other routes on which you have driven my fares down with no apparent regard for me being a member of the same alliance.

Tis a day of good impressions. First, my blushing bride and I went to a mobile bridal show in this area this weekend, and the turnout was less than expected and I left a good impression on a vendor, who in turn made sure I won a drawing for a $500 catering gift cert. Secondly, I hadn't turned my BB on all day, nor checked my email recently...the nameless company that mistakenly advertised full-time and meant part-time offered me the part-time spot. Both of these are Boxclusives...fiancee does not yet know about the caterer, and neither fiancee nor mother know of the offer.
Gongrats on both accounts. |

CM congrats!
As for the trips, I'd personally feel it out. Tell them you have these two trips planned and see how they respond. Life is short, don't forget to stop and enjoy it along the way. |

colpuck, did you ever post the last installment of the bachelor party trip report or did I just miss it?

I'm considering it part-time even though the true label is full-time seasonal. Almost a guarantee of 10-15 OT hours per week, but no guarantee past about 15 September or so.

Now an important question: I'm assuming that as soon as I go online and click thru the acceptance package, I should get my new boss on the phone and inform him of travel plans? Sooner the better on that, I would think.

Actually, I believe I can convince S/O to join me - as he knows all the people in London too. And that turns it from just a MR into a party :)
