Don't recall that particular part, but I do remember the giant mountain of bat poop inside a cave. That was particularly memorable.

The Otters are on the episode that chronicles freshwater habitats. They're in the Indus river, IIRC.

Football seems to have more gun violations but as the celebrity factor continues to grow things will only get worse. And there are plenty of those players getting paid more money now than they ever could dream of, traveling with posses, etc.

Could not disagree more. Several reasons to back this up:

Hockey's salary cap is less than half of the NFL cap - $56.7M vs. $116M.

Rookie contracts in the NHL are not nearly as rich as those in the NFL.

Hockey players, as monitor said, still have a backwoods work ethic. They show up when told and do so without attitude, and I can't recall a recent story about a hockey player refusing to play because of bonus numbers or contract language. It still raises a large eyebrow when a player asks to be traded, because it doesn't happen all that often, nor do contract holdouts, etc. which are commonplace in the NFL.

Hockey players as celebrities doesn't even happen that much in the NYC area. Some Devils and Rangers are known to enjoy the city, but here's the key: not to the detriment of the team. Football and baseball are much more known to have the selfish brats who have walked into a pile of cash and are behaving as such, despite all the talk the NFL has about their rookie seminars.

Hockey is the ultimate team concept...I'll cede that both football and soccer might be more of a team sport, because there's more players and more ground to cover.

In the end, I think it comes down to small-town rural roots and good parenting. Hockey players are just better adults...sure, there's always bad apples. But I would argue that an NHL bad apple is not nearly as tart as the NFL's version. The worst NHL player misconduct story as of late is the two brothers in Montreal who were in the captured black book of a Montreal mob boss, and no one knows why they were there. That, for the time being, does not trump vehicular manslaughter (Donte Stallworth) nor does it beat out what Jim Leyritz made headlines for.

Come on. Really? There have been four on-ice assaults that resulted in criminal proceedings: one in 1969, one in 1988, that one in 2000, and the Steve Moore thing. The average NFL season sees four arrests in less than sixteen weeks.
