BL/Plus1, are you bringing clubs?
When I travel to Bangkok for work, I bring my spikes, gloves and a dozen balls. It's pretty hard (if not impossible) to fly into BKK, go to where my vendors are, meet, do something social and get back to BKK to fly to HK in the same day. So, I'll do one night in town and fly out the next day. There is a course literally 5 minutes by cab from the new BKK airport. I have my hotel drop me at the course early, store my bags at the club, catch the first tee time, play 18 and then cab it to the airport for a noonish flight to HK. I'll work the rest of the day in HK and count things as most productive. :) |

Nice. I may have to plan a stay up there before year's end. I'll bet that futbol pub is nice when it isn't packed with Liverpudlian gits.

What did you think? How does it compare to the Ws in NYC?
It feels different than the NYC Ws because it is not as hectic when you walk outside. But you still have a buzz of people coming and going outside as well as the river and the countless amount of people walking dogs . It is a great hotel , the only problem is that all the other Ws are in NYC , so it does not compare for location if you want to be in NYC. ( IM sure the rooms are bigger) But the train to hoboken runs 24/7 although every half and hour late night and weekends , but it is still close if going to the meatpacking district , or the village, or even union square. |

Correct. In the Netherlands, Box Karaoke is punishable by castration.

We don't have the official schedule of events, so we're not sure how much time we'll have. That being said, if I can squeeze in some golf, I will.

FYI, a 64 minute cxn at IAH from int'l to domestic is completely possible. We just made one with 10+ minutes to spare. And CO protected both of us with confirmed seats on the next flight, just in case. Even little ol' me with a craptacular spend to hit my plat status was protected with a confirmed seat on the next flight. I'll fan the flames of those threads later. In the mean time I have a dinner that I managed to pick up in our spare time to eat. I got to enjoy extra time at B-84 this evening, thanks to a 15 minute maintenance issue that took 45 minutes to resolve , and an elderly passenger in a wheelchair who couldn't walk up the stairs having to be lifted into the plane. Not really complaining about that, but even with the maintenance issue, had we had a jetway, we would have been on the plane about 15 minutes sooner. |

Please do let me know should you think that you have time. If I'm available, I will happily come up and play someplace convenient to you, and I don't doubt that a couple of usual-suspect Boxers would at a minimum check their calendars for you. :D ^

Those purpose-built RJ jetways at The Hublet are so cute. They look like they're not done being built yet...not unlike the planes that pull up to said jetways.
