Download OS from the web and run the install program on it. Then start up the BlackBerry desktop manager software on your computer (you'll have to install that if you haven't already), connect the BlackBerry, and and then go into the application loader portion of the program. It will ask you if you want to install the new software, and after you agree, it takes over and does the rest. I'd suggest backing up your handset first before starting, just in case. I've done the OS upgrade about 5-6 times now over the last few years, on a couple of handsets, and it's always been pretty painless. It takes a while, and there is sometimes a point where you think it's crashed because nothing appears to be happening. But if you're patient, and just let it do its thing, it will complete the update and you'll have a much better OS on your handset.

and SEA for the obvious reasons.

Totally agree. If you're going for true fun like I am with SEA, sure. But for MR-esque flying, it's the worst of the value propositions.

Sure, but no reason you can't book a couple more once you get the missus back home. :p

Just whipped up my breakfast order of steak and eggs. ^ Sadly this represents the end of the supply I have of leftover steak from V day dinner. :td:

She'd shoot me. The worst part is that I taught her how to shoot. (We need to go to PHX and have a Machine Gun Do...get one of the gun shops that offers it to take a bunch of the Box out in the desert and expend thousands of rounds of hot lead, all while a shop employee shoots stills and video of it. ROCK!!!!!)

Steak and eggs.....mmmmmmmmmmm. Morton's strip cooks up onto a bagel very nicely.

Thanks for taking the time to explain...I saw 4.5 available on BB.com; I'm guessing that's the move to make?

Can't we do that in Vegas as well?

Wirelessly posted (Samsung Omnia: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows CE; PPC; 240x320))

I want to get to SEA this year purely for the coolness factor of the Boeing factory, the aerospace museums, outdoor activities and the MR-esque aspects certainly does not hurt my cause. :)

The Boeing factory is super-aerogeek! I was there about a year ago and have already thought about going back again. The Boeing Museum at BFI is interesting but not nearly as cool as the factory.

I'd love to see the Boeing factory as well. Otherwise, SEA is a great city - and you have to spend some time at Pike's Market. I'll have to look now to see when the seasonal CLE-SEA flights are...

I'm not sure. Given NV's gun laws it's certainly a possibility. I would favor a location in AZ just because they get the coolest toys. Silencers are legal in AZ. I rest my case. "Be vewy vewy quiet...I'm hunting FwyerTawk twolls."

Sitting in my printer tray: Boeing tour tickets. ^

I already told the fiancee that I want to swing by Boeing Field and see if I can see any abnormal paint jobs that one might not see in the USA. And I was adamant in my desire that she sees the fishmongers and that we do a photo walk thru Pike Market and the waterfront.

ssullivan, you should check it out next time you are in Lubbock.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'd not heard of that place before. I'm not scheduled to be back up there again for many months, but will try to remember to check it out.

Anyone fixin to be transiting IAH on 2/23, 2/26, 3/2, or 3/5?

I'll be through IAH on at least March 2 and March 5.

I think we need to have a SEA Box DO ^

I am all about taking the bolt bus back down to PHL.

Make sure whatever version you are getting is correct not only for the handset but also for the carrier. You can get into a lot of trouble otherwise.

That reminds me, I should upgrade my 8830 one of these days.
