Aren't they just the most pleasant rays of sunshine you've ever come across?

There are certain parts of FRA that are nice, they are doing ,and have upgraded many parts of the airport .

I was too busy staring open-mouthed to laugh. Utterly hilarious; must learn more.

The UA forum might explode if we started such thread .

The  there can be measured in cubic tonnage, but it's not fun  - the FFers there are just as lovely to deal with as their airline.

I don't think they would tolerate a Box-like presence, for several reasons:
  • They have no sense of humor.
  • The thing that we can't comment on is very diligent there, and I mean that in a good way.
  • They take the M+ program way too seriously.
  • They're generally not a nice group of people, at least in their online presence. And thanks to Do IV, I've confirmed that people who grate my cheese online also usually do so in real life.
  • They would have to leave their status-based enclaves to intermingle. I've heard that a 1P is not allowed to laugh at a 1K's comment before another 1K already has.
  • They are too high on themselves to enjoy Box-like humor.
  • Look at their hub cities: stereotypical humor has been outlawed in at least one of them.
  • edit: Despite that they get offended easily, they seem to think that blanket generalizations are OK.
  • Flight of the Conchords based their new song on the UA Forum.

Anyone have any other additions to that list?

This is actually the first non-US Mod Do. And the Mod Do was scheduled prior to the Airbus Do; they basically coordinated the Airbus Do to match up as many were already going to be going to Germany. The Mod Do wasn't planned because of the Airbus Do.

I agree.

allow me to summarize some of the threads I saw there.
1. I hate dogs, don't want them on my flight even if they are not bothering me.
2. UA people stole stuff from my bag and denied claim, what now?
3. I knew the rules yet I spent 30 min with a TA arguing about them, now I want to write her up.
4. FA tried to get me to sign up for Amway. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...-business.html

Heh. I poked in there and read one thread, and it was about a choice of sauces for dessert in intl-F.

BTW
while flying back from MCO with my gf , I told her I was going to get a Dog Travel bag , and put a plush toy dog in there , and travel around with it to see what kind of reactions I get when I take it out mid flight .
Sounds like it would be a good experience on UA :D

It shouldn't be called the UA forum....it really should be titled "I am a better, more entitled human being than you. Come in here and find out why, you peon."
