It reminded me of the old Washington, DC Metro announcement "Please stand clear of the doors. Thank you". You don't give people positive reinforcement for using common sense (e.g. not being a moron).

I thought the last Metro Rail door annoucements bugged me. The current ones are the worst. In an angry voice "Step Back. Doors Closing" someone blocks door. Ding Ding Ding. "Step back to allow the doors to close" some one blocks the door again "Step back to allow passengers to exit the train. blah blah blah about walking into the car" by now the train is half way to the next station and you get for the last time "step back, doors closing" This repeats at almost every station.

Maybe I will try to search for it .

It was a much more contained rant than I recalled. For some reason, the video really ticked me off that day.

I found a video of the metro rail annoucements.
It gets annoying quickly.

Edit: I just read this is the newer softer version of the annoucements because people complained the annoucments were too forceful.

Old announcement disappeared after person who recorded them retired from WMATA. Sounds like you have problems with people who can't avoid the closing doors as well. ;)

Why did you have to post that? Another traumatic minute of my life.

Oh - I'm sure the Box already knows about the YouTube promotion.

That leaves out any of my holiday greeting videos. :(

Is it just me or does BHM dominate ATL in terms of coolness.

Um, IMO they both suck in quite a few ways.

I came back from dinner well lubed and ready to go on a  thread run here. I'm saddened to learn of the demise of one of those threads this evening. :(

Perhaps I will pour a bit of  on the sidewalk for my homies who perished this week. :p

A BIG ^ to MBM3 for all of the house keeping he has been doing over the last few days. Hopefully sanity can now return to the CO forum. :)
