Congratulations, Mackieman!

I, too, have front-loaded my 2009 travel schedule. Gotta fit in those EQMs before the wedding in May. I should have just about 75K CO EQMs in the bag by mid April.

Me too. That's why I now have 40k EQM's booked for January and February alone. The fun begins next week.

Nice! I stopped myself around 27k through early March (for now...).

Next year, I will need to plan a big trip during the first week of January to try and prevent these rampages.

Three TATLs (BRU DO, AMS Bachelor Party, Somewhere in Europe for Significant Otter's Mardi Gras Break), plus an SFO-EWR-LIM run are forming the bulk of my 2009 mileage so far. I'll probably book at least one more *A Q-UP run to requalify for BD Gold, as I'll be most of the way there after I do my DFW-YYZ-YYC run at the end of this month. I'm thinking of cleaning out my BD mileage balance after that, though, and choosing a different back-up program in an alliance other than *A.

Right now, I'm leaning towards BA. I presently have about 40K banked with BA, and could just fly AA Q-UPs to earn miles sufficient to meet my next redemption goal (2x LAN J tix USA-SCL-IPC). With BA, those are only 80K apiece. I don't really care if I earn Silver with BA or not, as I would only be flying Q-UPs (or mistake fares) with AA/OneWorld. Accordingly, status wouldn't be such a big deal.

Not all of us can squeeze it into the first week of January. :p

Congrats, Mackieman....enjoy the drive back to SAN.

Hey, Box. Note for reference: when going to the Palm and getting the oft-admired Chicken Parm, do remember to stop eating it when the size of the leftover is convenient. I did this last night and much to my amazement, it worked. Woke up, went for a walk, and had myself Palm leftovers on rye bread, with no need to cut the chicken. ^

Thanks to ConciergeMike and sbm12 for some ideas a few months back here in this very Box, and to the rest of the Box denizens for your well wishes.

Congratulations! Just out of curiousity, what thoughts did I contribute that you used? I'm embarrassed to say that I'm drawing a blank. :o :o

Anyone else up for warm-weather winter golf somewhere?

Your status as a fountain of great bar stories can only be enhanced by this. They never got back to me either.

I'm trying to make sure I'm requalified during the first half of 2009, since right now, my work schedule is pretty empty after July. Based on EQPs, I'll be halfway to Silver before the month is over — on only three relatively short trips.

Congrats Mackieman!

I've got wii golf fired up and my heat blasting. It's probably 80 in my living room.

You're more than welcome to come over.

IIRC, your honeymoon has some revenue hotel stuff in it, but almost all of the air is on redemptions, no?

And for sfogate, there was no Home Shopping Network last night. :D

Congratulations. Have a wonderful honeymoon.
Now get off your computer and kiss your wife. :)

 - I was on the fence about Wii until reading that.
