I am convinced that I narrowly avoided being robbed while I was working at that valet parking gig. I made the mistake of getting on an elevator with someone who really did just look like a problem. He was staring at me and seemed like he was coiled and ready to strike...really had this 'nothing to lose' look that I've not seen before or since. Only thing that saved my dumb :rolleyes: was getting off on the floor I was supposed to get off on, where the problem heard the voices of the other parking guys and automatically went from alone to dealing with witnesses.

Oh come on mike, he wouldn't be successful...you would not let him.

Dealt with that in front of the Ritz one morning. A gentleman of the minority persuasion was spewing anti-white :rolleyes: and decided to call out one of the valet parkers for saying hi.

Valet: "Morning, how are you?"

Him: "You got a problem, white boy?"

Not saying I would have rolled over and let it happen, but you just don't know what people are capable of. When I worked in AC I had cops come and cordon off a men's room next to my office. Some guy escaped from the hospital and was spitting poop at the cops.

I guess for me it just doesn't matter, if someone pulls a gun on me and kills me, so be it, life goes on around me. If I had my way and stopped them, they'd not be trying to rob me again :D

Understand what you mean, at the same time what I am saying is, there are people and businesses around me that depend on me, but in the end I am always prepared for anything. I don't plan to go anytime soon, and will defend myself in any case. I am not saying I'll go out of my way to be stupid :D but I am comfortable with myself in any state.
