I noticed that "Catch" is smaller in size compared to the days when it was really popular.

The EZ-Pass thing has so anesthetized me to tolls that I hardly even realize that I am paying them and all they have become is an occasional notation on a credit card bill.

The other thing that has happened is that the tolls have silently and steadily been increased and the EZ-Pass has put this so below the radar of most regular users that this has hardly been noticed and there is no longer the uproar that was caused by toll hikes only about ten or so years ago.

The craziness was what made it tolerable. I knew every time that I left the Ritz-Carlton that I would see something between there and the parking garage that would make me want to swear at someone.

And you weren't even driving in South Philly where double-parking is the local sport.

If you go, want company, and I'm in town, I'll drive across the river and join you. (I have heard of that place.)

On the other hand, it has enabled my state to raise tolls on its turnpike without rounding upwards.

If I didn't have to fill out expense reports I would never look at my EZ-Pass statement.

Agreed, but spending on a debit card isn't.

I mix tuna - solid white in water in the can - with mac & cheese every now and then. I used to all the time as a kid. Never tried with bacon but I cannot imagine it being bad.

G'morning, Box.

Morning, Box.

I'm pretty sure I've maybe used my debit card as something other than an ATM card fewer than 5 times since 2001. Why shouldn't I take advantage of the free (to me) float that I get from my credit cards?

g'day box. :-:

Yes I did. :D Unfortunately I was passed out for most of it after spending the night on the MIA floor.

AA was also kind enough to drop the LAX-SFO leg off my separate itinerary so I could get home sooner and rebooked me on an earlier flight.

Once the mileage posts I'm calling up for ORC.

Go figure.

I arrived DCA yesterday about this time and the place was jammed. Security lines snaked out around the rats maze and it looked like Grand Central Station at rush hour on the CO-DL side.

So naturally I left a few minutes extra this morning going out. I arrived about the same time as yesterday to a completely deserted security checkpoint and had zero wait for anything, including my customary security drone shakedown.

Go figure.

The following email exchange just occurred between myself and the DJ who is doing the back-half of our reception (live music first-half). I present the following for your amusement. Because all I can do is laugh...

Did you hire Uncle Jesse's band to preform before DJ Tanner?

Actually, from the e-mail exchange, it sounds more like he hired Enos.
