new mac mini has a twist off rubber base, interesting....I'd have not thought such would be used due to heat retention. And in a large twist from the norm on Apple small devices, it is easy to access the inside.

The other thing that has happened is that the tolls have silently and steadily been increased and the EZ-Pass has put this so below the radar of most regular users that this has hardly been noticed and there is no longer the uproar that was caused by toll hikes only about ten or so years ago.

Microchips in the back of the neck are coming. :-:

And you weren't even driving in South Philly where double-parking is the local sport.

When I picked up sbm12 from 30th Street, we went to Tony Luke's for lunch. IIRC I parked on the median of Oregon Ave. in an attempt to fit in.

Sold. I don't eat sushi often, but when I do I like to do it right. And right for me involves spicy and with company, as Copa Connection doesn't do sushi. I once gave her a piece of Philly Roll, and until that point I'd never even seen infants spit something out so quick.

Agreed, but spending on a debit card isn't.

Who said debit? I had a Visa from WaMu before they went , and the same account number now adorns a Chase-branded card.

Was assigned a "relationship manager" to help with the database migration project. I wrote the email and she looked at it and asked "what's a database?" It went downhill from there:o

Finally got the soft token so can work remotely from home (which would have been most helpful this am on two hrs sleep).

Morning, Box.

I tried to use a $100 United Systemwide Voucher for a UA reservation that happened to include a codeshare segment. Told no dice. So, instructions were suuposedly placed in my PNR by a 1K Desk Agent (at least, that's how she answered the phone, and I have no elite status with United until the FFPs are integrated ;) ) to send back the cert to me immediately upon receipt by Dearborn and to NOT ticket the booking. The flights were also canceled out of the PNR, so it was basically a blank slate.

So what do I get in my email inbox today? An email confirmation that the reservation was ticketed and my credit card was charged for the $60 add/collect. Apparently, some UA ticketing agent, upon receiving the cert, actually BUILT a new itinerary in the same record from scratch and applied the cert and credit card to it. Spoke to a UA Service Director, she was profusely apologetic, and she agreed to basically cancel the ticket, and allow the full value of the itinerary to be used on a future trip with no fees or penalties whatsoever. On the minus side, it's $60 spent unnecessarily. On the plus side, the value of the ticket may be applied to any UA-coded itinerary, including codeshare flights operated by any UA partner airline. So in the end, a wash I guess.

I would have replied with the following email:

"What's a relationship manager?"
