I've seen some other options in the $8-10k range.

Thanks. Still pondering whether I'm going to be able to join you all at some point along the way. Preferrably when the tubing is over. ;)

That would be far more ^. Not terrible for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. That's roughly equivalent to a 10-day med cruise at peak season on a good cruise line.

Poles of Inaccessibility

Hadn't heard of those before.

That was quite . I find it most interesting that it is only possible to be, at most, 1670 from land out in the middle of the ocean and comparably distant from the ocean in the middle of Asia.

Watching Brazil vs. Norte Korea. I'll let you guess what is going on... if you aren't watching. The international feed just showed about 10-20 Asians dressed in N. Korea clothing. Apparently, they are Chinese actors paid to be there as N. Korea fans.:D Not a bad gig! Getting paid to watch a World Cup match.@:-)

I'm thinking about getting a similar gig.

Noisy protest # 2 has started across the street. They actually have a band on the back of a large flatbed truck. There apparently will be another protest later today. I wonder what Hyatt Century Plaza did to deserve this...

It is cool, and I was only 2 hours from there, I really should have gone to visit the Chinese space program! It is right near there. (asia)
