To my friends in Central Texas. Looks like I-35 will undergo construction. It will eventually have 3 lanes in each direction.

Much of it has been under construction for the last 10-15 years, and many miles are already complete. They're just now launching a website for that?
I have to say after driving in many states and countries, TX has the best roads of any of them... |

There was a time when flying itself used to be fun. Now it's just a mindless void between two points. I can think of hundreds of things I'd rather be doing than sitting there not being productive.
And yes, I know I can read a book / work / sleep, etc. but I can do all of those things in places a lot more comfortable than a plane. If I'm flying to go someplace it doesn't (usually) bother me. But if I didn't have the destination at the end, I don't know how I could rationalize it. I know I'm one of the few that feels this way on the site and that's fine. To each their own. But, I certainly understand the perspective of folks who think there must be more to MR than collecting points. |

Forgive me 'Box, I have sinned. I booked a rental car using priceline.com. I promise, I tried using all the codes to book through the various rental car companies. They just could not beat the price I paid on pl. Please don't ban me. :(

Does anyone know how to change the city highlighted in the emails for the continental.com specials? I'm still getting emails with specials from EWR...

ETA: I'm having trouble finding it too. Try updating the home airport in your search preferences, and make sure your address is changed. They may just be basing it off home address now. |

I also clogged the pot in the hotel with the fancy think TP from China. I called housekeeping to bring a plunger and the lady took care of the clog with her bare hands  |

You're not the only one. I kind of feel the same. It's routine. I've been doing it every week for over five years, and on a very regular basis for over ten now. It takes a lot for me to get excited about flying. I don't mind it at all, and I still enjoy it, but it doesn't really excite me. It's as routine as brushing my teeth in the morning.
I have reached a point where mileage running has very little appeal to me. It was easier when I was single and had more free time. But I have ample miles from work. I'll jump on a mistake fare if it's to a place we'd want to go, but we'll go, spend some time there, and come home. We won't go just to fly and earn the miles. After you do something often enough for long enough, it does lose some of the appeal and becomes a lot more routine. |

I think it's under your e-mail preferences. I know I changed mine a few years ago when I moved to Atlanta. Now you've reminded me I need to update it again.
