For the most part, yes. Although I've been places that were just as good.

I also clogged the pot in the hotel with the fancy think TP from China. I called housekeeping to bring a plunger and the lady took care of the clog with her bare hands  Hope she washed really well afterward. |
2 days after I booked LGA-IAH-ABQ on CO paying $290 a/i for each ticket, I decide to look at the reduced mileage rewards on AA. What do you know they have EWR-DFW-ROW at more preferable times and we have to be in ROW for a wedding . The only thing that makes me feel a little better is I will be earning a few EQMs for this trip which means 1 less MR.

You're flying to the wrong places. ;)
I'll get excited about flying when we have the money for a nice vacation in a premium cabin again, which will be after we're no longer covering housing costs in two cities at the same time. I'm hoping for good news very soon about a potential renter of our Atlanta condo. That won't cover all the costs associated with it, but it will cover over 60% of it. Watching all but $250 of my net from today's paycheck go toward a condo we're not living in really sucks. :( Granted, half of that payment will be covered by my partner when I remind him tonight to transfer the money to my account. But still, it sucks in ways I never imagined it would. Being stuck with that place right now really makes me think that the whole home ownership thing is way overrated. |

Yawn, I need a vacation. All that time in EWR on Saturday dragging luggage around (and loosing car keys) really tells me I need to fly somewhere and escape.

Forgive me 'Box, I have sinned. I booked a rental car using priceline.com. I promise, I tried using all the codes to book through the various rental car companies. They just could not beat the price I paid on pl.

Other than a couple of exceptions, my flying will be to IAH every week the rest of this year. Currently the exceptions are one trip to LAX, and one to Louisiana that I'll fly to either BTR or MSY on. That's it. The rest is DCA/BWI/IAD-IAH every week.
Also, having done 186K BIS two years ago, 231K BIS last year, and 147K BIS so far this year, it's not as if I haven't sampled what could be considered burnout-inducing levels of flying. When it's for leisure, it's a whole different ball-game. Granted, those who travel for work will have a large chunk of their FF miles subsidized by their employer, but what good are the miles if you dread having to spend anymore time away from home? Live in a crappy, festering pit, take a job that never sends you anywhere, and put the joy of travel back into your life. :D
