Just received my electric bill. Last month, $75. This month, $160. It's just the beginning.

With the way I cooled down my house this weekend, I don't want to see my next bill.

In other news, I need more photos. I know one will be retaken, plus another in the works. Need to get the IAH folks somehow.

Come toobing, I'm sure we can figure out something.

Also, thanks for cooling your house. And for everything, it was really a blast.

In other , the Home Depot credit card will not allow you to make a payment online for an amount more than your last statement balance. Because I had a special deal where any purchase more than $300 (mine was $302 and change) has no interest and no fees for six months, the statement balance is $0, while the account balance is $302 and some change. Thus, I can't pay off the balance online. I have to mail it in or make a payment in the store or pay $14.95 to do it over the phone.

Why are they making it hard for me to give them money?

Does your bank allow you to set up free online bill pay? If so, use that to make the payment online. You won't have to go to the store, or call, or write a check and mail it. Just initiate the electronic payment from your bank, as opposed to from Home Depot's site.

Chase enjoys their fees far too much for them to allow me to do that for free.

I don't feel very good. I should be getting work done but I'm really not in the mood now.

I am waiting patiently for my wife to get done with her stuff so we can video chat and I can go to bed. I am past exhausted.

Good evening ladies and gents, I have a quick question that would be appropriate here rather than starting a new thread.

I sent an e-mail (used the auto fill form on CO.com) to CO. How long should I wait for a response prior to calling 1-800-WECARE-2?

I received the e-mail acknowledgment and requested to be contacted, but have yet to hear anything.

It's been going on 6 days now.

Thanks!

It depends on the severity of the issue. I've had it take four or five days to respond to a letter of praise and two days to respond to a complaint, so it's all over the board. If your issue is urgent or pressing, you may wish to follow up.

Chase has always let me do that for free.

It was a complaint and a letter of praise intermixed.

Its not urgent, but this is my first time contacting them so I don't know their normal response times.

Thank you for your help, mackie.

Hmm, I will have to go re-read the fine print then. I read it as having a monthly fee associated.

I have it free from Chase. Did you check with your employer to see if there are any promos? I'm still glomming off my old employer for some stuff..

Gore, and Bush admin's first Sol. Gen.) probably sees it as an instance of the fact that whenever a minority's rights are voted upon, they generally lose, and that's one main reason there are courts to serve as a check on those votes. It's not too surprising, then, he's the lead attorney, and also why I won't be too surprised if they win.

There was a very interesting article in the New Yorker about six months ago regarding this case. It more or less confirms your guess as to Olson's motives. It is also interesting that his co-counsel on this case is David Boies, his opponent in Bush v. Gore.

Yeah, if it isn't urgent, I would allow for a wide lattitude of response time. Due to CO firing so many res agents, there are not nearly enough folks to answer the phone much less respond to issues in a timely manner, which is unfortunate and in need of fixing.

Drop by any time, the water is nice. :)
