Anyone remember this guy?

Former NBA player Manute Bol died today at age 47. Bol was hospitalized May 12 w/ acute kidney failure and a skin disease.
RIP Manute. He was well liked by his peers.

:rollpuck: has to go to the airport to pick up a friend, Does he:

a) go the airport himsef.
b) buy a refundable ticket to meet friend at gate.
c) buys a ticket that gets him into the PC to drink for a bit.
d) buys bump running ticket and bump runs while he waits,
or
e) all of the above?

He did a ton to help the citizens of his homeland; I recall reading at one time he had spent most of his earnings to support his causes.

Decent views of the races from Battery Park but VERY hazy out today. Hard to get good photos, even with 500mm lens. :(

Hartmann, or any other D-SLR fans. Is this deal @ Costco a good one for the Canon? Hartmann, what model do you have?

It looks to be a very good deal with the extra lens included.

Photo Shop is your friend on days like this. Clears the haze out of the photo.

I'll be in and around NYC next weekend, but in keeping with my global rule, I will not hit up anything that costs more than $20 to get in. So most likely I will be in the usual NYC nightspots, the quality of whose patrons increases substantially during that weekend anyways.

I have that camera and like it, but I'm not thrilled with the kit 18-55 lens. BUT, it's also the kit lens from my original Digital Rebel so maybe it has improved some since then. That said, I haven't used it a heck of a lot, deciding to go a little lighter with a G11.

Haha. Theirs is not a crowd that I could, for the most part, see myself getting any enjoyment out of.

Shell shock was real.
So was battle fatigue. Operational exhaustion was a real concern too.

Do you want to buy new? I have a great starter set at a great price.

I missed you, Box. Crazy night last night and another wacky shift this morning. Now home until 1:30 tomorrow afternoon.

Indeed. I foresee a lot of the "I'm feeling lucky" Picasa button in my future.

I'm considering changing GLA-EWR to GLA-LHR-BOS-LGA for the VS UC and lounge experience. I think that might be a mistake. At least there is no inventory right now on the short hops so I don't have to make that decision.

A single connect I'd definitely consider; double seems stupid, even with the lounge.

Good Morning Box.

It was a wild and crazy night last night. All flights were delayed for several hours inbound, which in itself isn't that bad but we had to deal with the customer from he!!.

She and her husband failed to remove their carry on from the plane and of course she knew someone stole the bag when we couldn't find it. Made a general baggage area page asking for it's return. For some reason she decided to get all ghetto when we asked for the black bag's return. Husband told us it was a black bag but "ghetto mama" took offense when she claimed it was another color. The volume of her voice and her anger caused us to call the police to have her removed from our office.

She was removed and told to fill her claim over the phone.

We spent the rest of the night chanting "Call the PoPo" while we finished up documenting claims and sending bags out for delivery. :D

ROTFLMAO!!! If I was present, I would have used the BBDS to render her speechless in a way that her husband apparently cannot.

VS Upper Class is somewhat overrated these days. If anything, perhaps try a single connect through EWR, otherwise nonstops are golden for awards.

You know when you have a bizarre dream that makes no sense? Well I was awake when my daughter came over with the potential inlaw and family including the daughter who used to work in the local strip club with her see-through pants. Plus the b'friends 3 year old and a dog. I couldn't post what they talked about:o:o
