Woohoo! It was getting quiet in here. In other news, I'm in 25 f'in E to SFO. Full flight but UA would rather put kettles in E+ than a CO plat. |

Still in the 50's at the trail so at least heading north will be easy.

"In the past, Continental Airlines, provider of the logo and leader for the new United Airlines, has held at least 4 annual Mega Dos, and has been a very active participant in the 2 Star Alliance MegaDos. More importantly, Delta Air Lines - The Wing of Satan, is now holding a second Conclave of Evil for Masochistic Flyertalkers at its Lair in Atlanta later this year. If United Airlines intends to be a force for good in commercial air travel, it must convene its own Gathering of Greatness. When will United FlyerTalkers step up to the plate and make it a reality?" Morning, Box. |

Just got an e-mail from UAL:
"Your 18 Mileage PlusŪ miles are due to expire on August 31, 2010 unless you use or earn* miles before then. It's easy and quick to keep them active." Are 18 miles good enough for tix in F to SYD??

Will not happen for at least one year after the single operating certificate, if ever again given the much larger FFP that will result. Besides, I have no desire to put faces to names from that forum anyway.
Morning, Box. |
Good morning. Working a miserable* 6am-2pm shift. After work I plan to tile the shower and should be in business for a Monday morning shower in there. ^
*Normally I enjoy working 6A-2P, but today it is a miserable shift because I did not sleep very well. |

Morrning, Box.
On board flight 408 iah-ewr. Equipment swap meant 8 F passengers were downgraded. I was not one of them :-: They asked for F passenger volunteers to take downgrade for $250. I took it and am now in seat 7A instead. Fine by me for a short flight! Now I have $250 to use for a MR :D |

This is something I want to do one day :)
Maybe go for some tuna...I enjoy sushi occasionally, but I am not sure I'd make a meal out of it, I'd get some tuna, raw. (but prepared morimoto style)

well it is just presented with flair I guess you'd say, I have heard about it for a while, but saw it on TV the other day as well. basically it is one of his tartares that is then pressed out very flat on a piece of hardwood. You then have various sauces/wasabi etc also laid out flat on this piece of wood and you eat it with a wooden.....spoon(flat spoon, more like a spatula, but smaller)
looks pretty interesting, and I enjoy fresh ocean fish like this. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/t1w4q...TJFym-XrimOR4w Part of the delicious of good tuna is the mouth feel you get from the texture of the slices. The fine mincing that is used in that preparation changes that quite a bit. Also, the variety of sauces and such that they offer do not really add to the flavor enough for me. Then again, I'm a huge fan of straight sushi/sashimi so mucking with that seems like a bad idea to me. Of course, going to Morimoto just for sushi is a bit misguided since he's much more famous for his cuisine - rightfully so - even as good as the sushi is. The key there is a balanced attack on the menu. And a reasonably high limit on one's CC. Speaking of which, Chase must really love me. The limits they've given me on my UA and CO PPlus cards are ridiculous. |
Good morning Box. The start of a lame and boring day is about to commnece. Time to do some shopping as mens clothing as most is on sale (I think I'll pass on the three pack of thongs I saw on the front page of Macy's website) as well as mens and womens watches so time for a new cheapy. Then the excitement rolls into me mowing the lawn in the heat of the day. :rolleyes:h the excitment.
