Morning Box. Greetings from the EWR PClub. I'm trying to keep my "I'm goin' on VA-CA-TION" mindset, but have already encountered an annoying level of :rolleyes: today (and it's not even 7a!)

On a scale of 1-10, how annoying is it to have the rent-a-line-dragons usher families of kettles into the elite line?

at EWR? I actually noticed they changed the layout in the last few days at EWR, and it was working much better except the slow TDC that puts every Id under a microscope at the elite lines.... It happened with two diff TDC staff.

Yep, EWR. No problem with ID check, just the line dragons. The regular line was full, elite line empty, so they decided to randomly send people to the elite line. Wouldn't have affected me too much except my dearest darling BF had to dig out his BP, so I ended up behind them :td:

I will be somewhat off the grid for the next 10 days as I bike to DC with 32 16-year-olds, about 9 other adults, two buses, and two pickup trucks (if you're curious, this is the itinerary) - probably won't be in here much though I'll try to say hello when I can. That spare BB battery arrived just in time!

I hope that y'all have a FANTASTIC time both tomorrow morning and afternoon, and that the USA manages to pull it off. :) Wish us luck/good weather/health/strength of legs and spirit...

If they used the rails-to-trails in some of the areas you will be in it would significantly help on some of the hills. It's going to be really hot and muggy in MD today so you'll be getting a real work-out! Enjoy^

Morning, Box. The Ren EWR decided to not follow Marriott policy and charge me for Internet access. We'll see how much trouble I have at getting that removed before we check out.

K fare helped. Am now in ANC, enjoying a shiny new dot and line (and currently my Northernmost airport). It's midnight here, and not entirely dark. Time to go find a quiet bench to sleep on near teh UA gates (ANC-DEN already departed, and AS concourse is a zoo).

I just refer to SEATAC as my money maker. ANC is pretty much always a zoo.

Good morning. Was able to see the last 20 minutes of Greece-Korea. About to watch Argentina-Nigeria. I hope everyone at the Footie DO is having a great time. I am envious.

G'day, Box - a rainy, dreary day here which is doing nothing for me but inspiring a nap.

When I interviewed there about a year ago, that hotel had lost money three years running. I think they might be counting on clueless biz-traveler Elites somewhat to rake in a little spare cash. Hey, if they can make a little money by not sticking to the brand standard...

Morning, Box.

I wonder if the Prawns are watching soccer in Johannesburg.
