Good morning, Box. T-storms in Chicago, so the yard's not getting mowed like it so desperately needs. Hopefully tomorrow will be dry enough.
I successfully put a new battery in my iPhone 3G this morning. Not too terribly hard to do. |
Helllllo! I've been MIA for the past 10 days! I was in LA for a conference -- it was fab. Then off to Boca Raton for a visit with a girlfriend. Her hubby was out of town on business, so it was a perfect time for a girls visit.
Anyhoo, I'm not very good at following FT from my iphone.... it's just too hard! hope the  were minimal, and the upgrades were ^ during my absence. Had to ride the ERJ from PBI to IAH yesterday. Guy next to me decides he owns armrest AND the adjacent inch or two into my space. Literally. His elbow was OFF the armrest and over my hip. So you know what I did? (I'm so sick of playing armrest wars...) I just put my arm RIGHT ON TOP OF HIS and used his arm as my armrest. He didn't budge. I thought surely he'd move his arm, but he didn't. We didn't say one word the whole flight. Friggin' hilarious! Happy Saturday everyone :) |
300-some people for a fundraiser tonight plus a wedding. Should somewhat make up for the somewhat low tippage the last couple nights.

I thought Apple had it set up so you had to send it in and have them do it at some overly inflated price... not so? I have the 3GS

Basically, you need a #00 and #000 Philips screwdriver, a pair of tweezers, a suction cup (to pull the display out), steady hands, and 30-45 minutes if you haven't done it before. |

That's the preferred way to do it, but if you're reasonably handy and able to work on small parts, it's doable. Also much cheaper - I paid $20 for the battery. Apple charges $80 to do the service.

US vs UK soccer, is that fans in the background or the worlds largest swarm of bees?!
