Hello Box. A bit of quick advice is needed.

I am flying AC today. I was to fly iah-yul-yvr. I saw that the flight was oversold and went to ask if they needed volunteers. They said yes. I asked what the compensation would be and they said $500. I said sign me up.

The other gate agent saw my name and said that she wanted to see me to re-route me through YYC in C. I thought okay. I asked if there would be compensation... she said no. I asked if I could have original routing credit. She said no. Then she proceeded to say.... Be Reasonable. You're flying in C and you're getting there earlier. Feisty would be how I would describe her if I were being nice.

I told her that I was routing through YUL for the miles. She didn't seem impressesd and continued to re-route me. I figured that there was no way at this point that they would accept me as a volunteer for $$ so I might as well fly in J. (I will still call UA afterwards to explain the situation and request original route credit.. what the heck!)

It appears that I am actually rebooked in J class. I was wondering if I should switch my earning from UA to BD. The BD website says that AC J class is 2X. Is that 2X plus the normal gold bonus of 25% RDM? Or should I just stick with earning on UA?

I don't need the miles to requalify for BD. My year ends in OCT. I am already at 38K.

I very likely won't need the EQM to requalify for 1K. I won't make the 55K on BD where it really gets good.... UA earns 150% eqm for J and 125% RDM on J.

What would the box do? Credit to BD or UA? I tend to think just leave it with UA.

Told by supervisor that being placed on the EUA list by a phone rep INP. Only airport will be able to do it. :rolleyes::mad:

As the EQMs do you no good on either side (not even lifetime on UA) just go where the RDMs would be useful.
