Seconded. Scott doesn't know if frontline employees aren't getting it done unless someone lets him know.

Yes, and he has indicated many times on FT that he would like people to PM him in the event they encounter problems with delivery of upgrades.

You know I will. There's more to the story. Just not feeling up to typing it all out on my phone while waiting to board the plane to BWI.

I was an even bigger idiot. My work laptop can't connect to my wifi with WAP for some reason, so when I work from home I open a unencrypted guest network (Apple Airport router) to connect from. Forget to close it week ago and noticed yesterday that the internet was really slow. I think to check it out and notice several unknown clients.:mad::mad::mad: Turn if off, restart and kick myself. Who know how much porn, warez, and copyright violations happened in that time.:mad:

Fiancee just said that she could not possibly go jetskiing because it's on skis.

Awesome. :-:

Only problem with having a phone that supports Adobe Flash is that I now see all the ads on FlyerTalk.

Halftime in South Africa. I saw a post on twitter that referred to the sound of the vuvuzelas as "bees on crystal meth." :p

Yup. The company I work for is very much a "we trust our employees until they breach that trust" organization. We have unlimited sick/personal days but they reserve the right to question or have us validate any non-vacation absence.

We're kind of that way too in my department (which consists of two people). Both of us have had to occasionally miss a class due to a professional obligation, family thing, flight schedule, etc. (I'm talking 3, maybe 4 times a year) and we successfully help each other out, and everything is fine. It's basically DADT to the more centralized powers.

I see you get no more than we do as passengers. I think that is about the total that one would receive for all three meals in a day at an airport for a VDB.

When my 3 pm CLE-DCA flight was MX canceled last week, they gave me a $12 meal voucher for what was supposed to have been a 1.5 hr delay (turned into 2.5 because of weather). Unfortunately, I had just picked up a sandwich at Subway before checking the PDA site and seeing the cancellation, but hey, it was good for two Dortmunder Golds at that new seafood-based sit-down place/bar in Terminal D.

:D:-:^ So unfortunate that I'll miss most of the group stage for the next 10 days when I'm biking and off the grid.

Fiancee just got a voicemail from our ceremony venue asking if we've booked a date yet. They seem to have put aside the fact that we are signed and paid. This should be fun.

Is there any way to stay airside for a transfer between the CO and AS terminals in ANC?

sdm1130 Jun 11, 2010 9:17 am

The movers have arrived. :-:

The poor guys have to walk past the (open early for World Cup) Flying Saucer, hauling furniture on a pretty hot day.

I may have some short ERJ and Saab segments out of IAH this summer but those will all be intra-Texas flights.

Hope you tip them well. That sounds like a rough job.

I haven't been on a Saab since 2003 or so, when Mesaba still ran them on DTW-CLE.

ssullivan and I had the pleasure of riding one VCT-IAH last summer on a 100+ degree day.
