I am officially joining the ranks of Box movers, albeit nothing as long distance as the ones by ssullivan, sdm1130 and Scott6067(am I forgetting anybody?) I gave notice today to my landlord that I'm not renewing my lease. I'll be moving in with my S.O. in Jersey City.

ETA: I guess I have to officially start calling him my "partner" now!

Good luck on the move. ^:-:

I will requalify on stays (with or without the early year double-stay promo) and that's without the possibility of a fall FFN.

I anticipate that all of the chains will do a double stay credit promo (except maybe Hyatt). I am really happy to get my stays done.

I have no particular attachment to the Lakers, but....they're not the Celtics. Or any other team from Boston/New England. And I guess they get a nominal ^ for purple and gold.

What do those of us with laptops without numeric keypads do? I've always wondered this. It's probably a really basic and idiotic answer, too. I've always had to resort to finding the character on a webpage and doing the cut/paste thing.

Congrats on the move - my S.O. is currently trying to make candied ginger and ginger ale.

This would be a year where I would REALLY appreciate SPG doing that. Much more so than last year. And I would be very sad to see the disappearance of any version of the free weekend night promo *next* year. But that's just selfish...

In related news, speaking of free weekend nights, this is starting to look like the second year in a row where, instead of using my freebies on awesome reach properties that I would never be able to pay for otherwise, that they'll end up being used on average places that are charging  rates on dates where I HAVE to be in that certain location. Alas.

It is a BS excuse IMO but they can pretty much use that for anything and mostly get away with it.

Post in the main forum and on my blog.

They want to be the only major airline without!! I mean even US and SWA have it!!

Thanks. We've been together for almost 5 years now and have been through the best and the worst of times. Just seems like the right move now.

True enough. I have to be out by July 15 and considering my travel schedule between now and then, should be a lot of fun.

BTW, thanks for the BOX helping me decide on the DL choice benefit this AM. I got my DL $200 voucher this evening in an email!!

icurhere2 Jun 8, 2010 9:28 pm

The complicating factor on me selling my house is that in the 3.5 days I was gone two more homes in my small square went on the market, making four without mine.

I gotta agree with your hope for SPG doing double stay credits. I am in position for requalifying even though I said "no more".

I was lucky enough to use 2 FWN's in London, even though I was "pre-downgraded" at the property (in the words of the manager).

At least you are using them. I have never used any of the Hyatt free nights I've earned. I'm hoping that I'll at least be able to use the *wood nights at all. It will pain me to use them at the Sheraton across from belynch's office.
