Personally, I'm partial to a good pulled pork sandwich. That, and ribs. Memphis style.

You really must come visit. BBQ has a much different flavor here, and it is better. Not that the others (Memphis, Virgina/North Carolina, Kansas City, etc) are bad, but they aren't quite as good. :-:

Don't get me wrong - I like a good brisket (there's a few Texans who've set up respectable BBQ joints here, and I've done my own, even). I just like my pork better. Maybe it's easier to execute a competent smoked pork shoulder.

As of later today, the aforementioned 6-month balance transfer promo will be 50% paid off. Today is one month since the balance posted.

Mtbroxs May 26, 2010 8:27 am

Well Jeff himself is in the c south club in IAH. He is headed to DCA.

Eat. Work. Poop. Sleep. Repeat cycle, ignoring the majority of the outside world, until zero balance achieved. Seems to be working so far. ^

I'm well ahead of the pace I set for myself. One more payoff to go after this one...

What's really funny is that SkyTeam USA sells SkyPesos at a ridiculous rate (60,000 cost over $1,000). and I know buying miles is (almost) never a good deal

I'd rather do TPAC in Y than not go at all, which is what I've been doing the last...13 years. I haven't been overseas for a "vacation" (i.e. on my own dime) in 10 years. Never had the combination of time/money/willingness to make sacrifices with either. I know, I know, you can revoke my membership card. It will all change, and significantly, starting next summer. :-::(

Ditto. I'd rather go in C or F than Y, but I'd rather be going than sitting at home scheming to only go up front. I'll survive the ride and you never know what fun will be at the other end until you get out there and find out.

That's refreshing. ^

Building the apps on the Android platform has been an almost trivial task of copying code over from my VB.NET code and then making minor changes in the syntax. BB is programmed in Java just like Android is but the dev environment is way different, at least from what I'm seeing so far. I'll get to it eventually, but it looks like iPhone (or more Android) will be in the works first. Sorry.

It's probably less about you being a bad programmer and BB not having as good tools/documentation. For a lot of platforms it comes down to how well developers are supported in getting that platform mass acceptance. The iPhone is more or less inferior hardware to other phones, but the app store is a key advantage to its success (which is an extension of their developer support).

There should be a case study in this with respect to the video game console market. Nintendo had terrible developer support, but they were the only game in town for quite a while so it was tolerated. Sony had great developer support with the PS1 which really help their entry into the marketplace (and similar for MS in the XBox).

Just think how much dude you would be if you like a version of car racing. :-::p:D

Took the fiancee's sloppy joe leftovers from last night, spooned them into a tortilla, and laid shredded cheese on top, with garlic and crushed red pepper.

Her: "For breakfast? You're nasty."

Me: "After nearly four years together, you still have not become an adherent to my philosophy that damn near any food item can be improved with the addition of cheese and a tortilla."
