For about 5 minutes on June 6th and then overnight for an oh-god-why-did-I-book-the-early-flight home the 9th.

Ah. I'll be there for a few hours on June 11 and then again on the 14th. So we'll almost just have missed each other. :)

I wanted to sleep in a bit tomorrow but I have to run to the office in the morning before jury duty to get something in the works for some stuff next week as everyone else will be out and the court house is only 10 minutes away. :(

I have to stay home a bit tomorrow morning for a delivery from UPS.

Did you get selected or just reporting in a pool?

Right now I am at 39000 ATL-LAX and on to SYD having burned up nearly half a million SkyPesos. No matter what, we get them so fast it is hard to burn them all up.

Done and over is good. I was on a jury and 5 minutes after jury selection, they settled:rolleyes:

Of course, that was after sitting around for 3 days in the jury pool

Last time I was the last person excused before the start of an 8 week criminal trial.

There was a similar display of idiocy with OnePass miles and an external USB drive once a few months back. There are morons out there. It keeps the industry rolling for us.

I was basically raised to believe that "not going" was almost never an option - my parents would regularly do same-day driving turns to BOS or HVN to come watch my concerts, etc., and if you got invited to a wedding/funeral/other event you went, regardless of location, unless there was something major already set in stone on the calendar. I've tried to do the same in my life.

I somewhat agree. I freaked my wife out a bit a couple years into dating when we got an invitation to a cousin's wedding in GEG. I immediately went to start looking at flights. She was confused as to why as we weren't going. I replied that it was a wedding and in my family, when given the opportunity to celebrate you take it. We repeated that same conversation two years later with a different cousin. In both cases our (my) desire to attend precipitated a dozen or more others also attending because her parents showed and then some of their siblings did. Apparently I literally brought the party. :D

HS sucked.

I grew up going to reunions at sbm12's alma mater with my parents. So fun. I didn't even end up going to the school and I still got choked up seeing people from the class of 1930-something singing the old songs. :)

Some of them were still there last year.

Ditto. I'd rather go in C or F than Y, but I'd rather be going than sitting at home scheming to only go up front. I'll survive the ride and you never know what fun will be at the other end until you get out there and find out.

Ah, THAT's why we get a tiny selection compared to the other platforms. :(

Or I'm just a bad programmer who doesn't understand their API and ho cannot find any decent documentation. Building the apps on the Android platform has been an almost trivial task of copying code over from my VB.NET code and then making minor changes in the syntax. BB is programmed in Java just like Android is but the dev environment is way different, at least from what I'm seeing so far. I'll get to it eventually, but it looks like iPhone (or more Android) will be in the works first. Sorry.
