Having a blast here converting code from .NET to java and teaching myself java all at the same time. I cannot get over the case-sensitive thing. It is killing me.

Most, if not all the biggies (Dell, Apple, HP, etc) use the same ODM(s) and the same (or similar) set of sub-components. But, I'm sure you will understand I'm not in a position to argue the *finer* points (online). :)

Oh I'm sure you're 100% right. I guess my comment really relates to the difference in quality between top of the line retail gear and the gear that goes into the ODM channel. Though it may be the same sub-components (NAND flash, caps, etc) the quality in manufacturing is different, at least in my experience.

I'm glad mine does; it relieves stress sometimes.

I don't have windows, but I have a door and no roommate. I think that's priceless. :-:

And if I go out my door, I can look to the right and see outside, but it's the parking lot.

A private office > cube with a window any day. :-:

A bit, though we do tend to keep the snide remarks about others to a minimum. Unless we're talking about each other, in which case snide doesn't begin to cover it. :D

I don't think that I could work in an office that doesn't have a window. I could probably work in an office that lacked a door, but I would not like it.

Thankfully, my office has three windows and a nice solid door.

Perhaps snide is a bit rough. How about "a candid assessment of others shortcomings"?

"Secrets of a Restaurant Chef" is unwatchable. The way she waves her arms around makes her look like she is auditioning to be the shaman of her tribe.

I learned new office-speak at this job that combines flowery stupid language and political correctness. The hotel got audited and the line items on which we failed were referred to as "opportunities for upgrade". Is it now a crime to say something is wrong?
