LOL, apparently I missed a lot by going back to the otel and playing nursemaid.
The  are running high in my part of TN right now. Last Thursday I had my HR manager come to me and say that I had 6 modules of training I needed to complete by this Thursday. All manadatory training that has to be done in the first 30 days? She then emails my boss to day as I was unable to email her due to connection issues. These trainings can take anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes, there are 6, and they can only be done on a work computer. She can do them in a shorter time for me tomorrow but would have to move her schedule and can do them in half the time as the online versions by skipping parts and giving me only the important information!! Hello is this stuff important for me to know or not??  Sadest part is I am working at an educational insitution that values education and the process suposedly but has an HR director ready to give me cliff notes on material that is "essential and required to be reviewed within 30 days of hire." Then she wonders why I am frustrated!! |

sfobs, I need to put up the  signal early.
Looks like I'll be through SF:rolleyes: end of June, arriving on a Monday following my best man's bachelor party. My meetings that week are rather intense involving several layers of our global management team and some external EU-based consultants ("the fritz's"). If I can please ask a favor of having someone meet me at the gate with:
I'd be sincerely appreciative. Yours in . |

Ok, the Box just killed my desire to get an A4 because of maintenance cost. Now if only Honda still made a car for me.

I got the same thing. But if the Golds got it too, then that means we should have two of those coming to our house. I'm sure we can spend $50 at a Starwood property sometime without too much trouble.

Franny and I both have 3s and like them a whole lot. I found the 7s too big and clumsy and the X3 3.0 was much more to her taste than the X5 since it was a better driving car with the stickshift.
Neither of these (a 2003 M3 and the aforementioned X3 from '05) have caused us any trouble at all even though the maintenance costs are higher than they would be for a domestic. But you do not need the dealers once you emerge from warranty since every repair shop worthy of its name has a computer tied in to the manufacturer and, if they are good, can handle your car just as well as the dealer at a much lower cost. I guess I do also need to find my non-dealer reputable local car place now that my warranty has expired.

My dad drove a 325xi for several years and loved driving it (he didn't love paying for the maintenance, but that's another issue). The four-wheel drive came in very handy for Northern Ohio winters.
P.S. Happy post #900 to me. :p |
Saw something I never thought I would at work today. Free booze! - amazing how good my eye sight is when that needs to be identified at a distance. I figured it was a trap to participate so came home to my own personal stuff. The food for the event was certainly not standard cafeteria fare either!!

You sure will be good at bachelor parties by next year:D.

Am I the only female alive who really DOESN'T want a bachelorette party? Honestly, the idea of either the "Passion Party" (think tupperware party, but ) or a drunken bar crawl through MSY or the like makes me kind of ill. Plus I'm already asking enough in terms of money and time from my sisters*/friends...I'd rather just skip it. But there's probably something wrong with me. I never claimed to be fun. :p
