ooohhhhhhhhhhh, so THAT'S how it works... I thought the numbers represented the number of available seats currently existing in each fare class

carsonheim needs tutoring in airline availability reading comprehension

I am glad the Colgan flights work like this, it allows me to get all kinds of matching fare buckets for best fares :D

Same here. Are they mailing them or e-mailing an electronic certificate code?

+1. I think I remember the T&Cs stating that the code will be emailed 4 - 6 weeks after completion of second stay.

Also, I just got an email with a "thank you gift for your SPG Gold status" - either a $25 gift cert (looks like you can only use it on things charged to the room, not the room rate itself - not a problem, I'll use it at the bar or something :)) or a one-year subscription to a variety of magazines (no thanks).

Curious what the Plats got... :)

I got the same thing. But if the Golds got it too, then that means we should have two of those coming to our house. I'm sure we can spend $50 at a Starwood property sometime without too much trouble.

Anyone know a way to get a portfolio of a stay from SPG? My portfolio when I left had my room service charge and the room rate. Looking at my AMEX statement there is another charge for $8.63 that I can't figure out.

Hmmm... I recall seeing this on my bill and was wondering too. Will keep you posted.

Yes. CO doesn't compete on one-way fares on that route sou you end up having to buy a ridiculously high fare class.

Hmmm. I checked roundtrip and it was $888.

buy a cruise with your miles

I was lookin' at this auction, and thought y'all might be interested. if you are planning a cruise, and have lots of miles, this might be a good option. Of course, the value is not as good as using miles for international award tix, but it's a nice way to save a few bux if you were planning a cruise anyway or interested in one. :)

And the one voter who's described as overweight in the article - media's apparently lost on the "making friends" concept - is the one who says parents have to step up to the plate (figuratively ;))
